This all was an echo following my correspondence experiences with our beloved, voted and respectful(ED) (in bahasa - Yang pernah Berhormat) state assemblymen (ADUN - Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri). I don’t hope that any of you as my precious reader to having this whenever you’re encountering any complaint or constrained situation where you need a favour from your voted people’s representative (so called the ADUN).

To make this short, actually it’s not, lets me brief you what was going on > > >

July 01, 2009 WED - I visited housing area in Tmn Sri Sentosa, Klang.

Findings: 1. Drainage system failure; 2. High risk accidental T-junction.

I drew out a road map indicating the high risk T-Junction and wrote detailing in my blog > http://jp3rdparty.blogspot.com/2009/07/klang-tiger-mouth-swallowing-life.html with hoping to get attention and then solution from authority board.

July 03 FRI - I asked YB Charles Santiago (VOTED Member of Parliament for Klang). In his Facebook, I wrote
Besides notified him about a suggestion to prevent accident in the high risk T-Junction,

The "longkang" drainage in Tman Seri Sentosa was cleaned out the last time before election last year.
Now its had been abandoned for whole year!
And mosquitos biten children !!

After being waited day after days and worrying about the mosquitoes growth in thousands which sting children, and there was none of any more response by YB Charles.

Besides pasting photos at the blog (http://jp3rdparty.blogspot.com/2009/07/by-jp-these-are-sick-drains-longkang-in.html) to notice YB Charles, this time I decided to call to his phone to notice him verbally in order to find out why there was no response, as my worries goes on with the stinging children mosquitoes. Dengue ? H1N1 ? He cares or not ?? !

I rang to YB Charles (016-XXX 7797) at around 8pm the same few day.
A lady named herself [Sara] answered.
JP: “Hello, Is this YB Charles around? ”
Sara: “I am assistant to YB, Sara here ”
JP: “Miss, this is regarding a public concern issue in Tmn Sri Sentosa, Klang..”
(without clearly acceptance of my complaint) This quick-react lady answered: “Would you mind to call back tomorrow in the office hour? It’s after office hour already.”
.....well, I was tending to throw her back this (CAN I SAY I MIND)
but I didn’t and answered politely: “Thank you, Miss. Then I will call you again tomorrow.” The phone hung up!

Afternoon on the next day – I called again the 016-XXX 7797.
JP: “Regarding my yesterday call about the issue in Tmn Sri Sentosa. Drains system failure. Mosquitoes grow a lot with biting children…..”
Sara: “Oh.. (ya) ….but that area is under another ADUN. The (Keadilan) Dr. Xavier. You call him.”

(My God! Now only she’s saying this, after all my photo shot postings and correspondences in Charles Santiago Facebook…)

JP: “ok. What number I should call?”
Sara: “wait….call this 03-XXXX 4595 the ADUN office”. Phone hangs up (without HER hesitating).

I called the 03 without hesitating too. After several times trying, then got through. They gave me another number to call due to their fixed line problem (phone line disruption).

What the hell? Couldn’t they fix their line? This reminds me when I needed to call certain authority board the time we was having BN’s governance. Let me know whoever able to call through the 1800 JPJ complaint-number pasted on every registered lorry? I thought Pakatan should be better in handling this.

“Call to SUK office – 03-XXXX 7306” The one in the ADUN office told.
By the way, who can tell what the hell is this [SUK] means for? (please la, I am just an ordinary citizen - who have voted for yours)

Then I called and they gave me another number (again) 019-XXX 7246 to call their “action-taking / task force” guy – Mr Raju. She said this guy will HELP.
(Actually, who is HELPING who? I scratching my head. In this type of public concern issue, I’m forwarding them this piece of “recipe” which they might getting well political mileage if they settling the complaint (off course, by calling whole gang of reporters to publish in news media);

(but sigh and damned they behaved like we supposed to beg them for clearing help!)
I, as not a resident that area but just coincidental discovered that sucking drains, was eagerly to forward this issue to respectful people’s representative (state government) for unnecessary rising of serious matter (likes dengue death); but this folk of "arrogantist" just keeping their arrogant with showing their moron attitude acting like “superman”!

(My goodness) ok, fine. Nonetheless, it’s half way now…so, I ticked on my phone again. What would happened if I just cut saving my phone bill here ? Would these arrogantist inform their Pakatan’s counterpart ? Aren’t they in the same coalition governing the state?
I ticked on my phone again with dialing that given number (019-XXXX 7246) >
JP: “Hello, Mr Raju ?”
Raju: “Yes”
JP: “It’s regarding ….bla..bla..bla (the same sentence I had repeated for many times)”
JP: “…and there are some photos shot pasted in this blog at > http://jp3rdparty.blogspot.com/2009/07/by-jp-these-are-sick-drains-longkang-in.html indicating clearly which streets having drain failure problem”
Raju: “ok. We will send people to check.”
JP: “Thank you very much, Mr Raju.” still with my heart of grateful after his PKR’s type of soft talk.
“By the way, you are Dr. Xavier’s ….. ?”

Raju: “I am aide (assistant) to Dr. Xavier”

And this time, hopefully thing get done with Mr. Raju’s sounded politely and convincible.

After a week, I called Mr Raju again.
JP: “Hello, Mr Raju.”, “How is the progress on my last week compliant about longkang in Tmn Sri Sentosa?”
Raju: “Oh, ya. Regarding this matter. We are going to that area tomorrow.(MPK and YB) are going together.”
Was I overheard that YB Dr. Xavier is going too?
JP: “Great to hear that. Remember to shoot some nice photos then paste onto YB’s blog to let us know what is the outcome and solution.”
Early, I checked YB Dr. Xavier’s blogsite and its telling that YB Dr. Xavier is holding another post extremely-related to my complaint – Selangor state Executive Council (EXCO) for Health. That’s great, with his concern in health sector, I believed he absolutely don’t want any flying kite numbers in dengue cases.

“Thanks again, Mr. Raju.” I grate him.

We (me and my contact lives there) waited until the next day, but they sang us a James Bond’s song - [Tomorrow Never Come] !
I called Mr Raju on the spot.

Raju: “I personally had drop by to see the situation there. And we will forward complaint to MPK (Majlis Perbandaran Klang). Things will be settled.”
Really? I started to doubt … early he said MPK and YB should dropped by and checked…..was I overheard ?

Then we waited for another week. Thing NOT yet been settled! Drains still badly smeary disgusting, mosquitoes still flying in thousands in every evening and worst still after each rainy day, water floated up with worms sticking and jigging beside the drains – some dying and drying inside residents’ houses!

We can’t wait anymore and I decided to call news media this time.
(Some might have curious why we didn’t call MPK directly.) Well, I leave it to be answered by imaginations of you all. It will justify on level of maturity and political mind-set growth after the last Tsunami election where we had changed this state government to be a (opposition) – Pakatan state for the first time ever in Selangor. We thought it’s different from BN.

We were not expecting them to be “Superman” especially just right after taking role in state Selangor.
Still considering NEW after one year?!! Acceptable.
Council members or enforcement department still occupied by Umnoputras (as said by one of my brilliant buddy in Facebook) – causing these Pakatan’s ADUN obstacle to delegate job downward? What nonsense? After a whole year, still the same situation?
..ok! then just sit comfortably there and do nothing! See how these Umnoputra (if there’re really exist) as you said will transmitting such “goodnews” to their mastermind and how will these all morons be pin-pointed in the next election!
(This was what I thought then, that’s why I was being sooOooOoo friendly to notify these Pakatan’s morons. But now I am almost being an Umno-helping hand in putting all this in letter words. Who fault? Who forced? )

Somewhere back in between month end of July and beginning of August.
I called the Star (which is a pro-BN news media as perception by most of us).
But then, the editor gave me few “helpful numbers”…..

Editor: “You may call to Ronnie Liu. He is the one monitoring (in-charge) for all (Pakatan) ADUNs’ performances in state.”
(I never knew got such a post to monitor other ADUNs’s performance) ??
"His number 012-XXX 3656 and office 03-XXXX 7150.”

I was surprised too why the editor was being so “nice” without publishing this “demolishing” news but given me Ronnie’s number; maybe he was a “Trojan horse” !??

I called then.

JP: “Hello, can I speak to YB Ronnie ? Ronnie Liu ?”
Daniel: “YB is in the middle of discussion. I am Daniel, assistant to YB. What it is regarding?”
JP: “Chinese? Mandarin ok?” *(this time, thought of using my mother tongue as my Engrand level low and that’s why that Mr Raju might have gone somewhere else)

Daniel: “yes, Chinese.”
JP: “it’s regarding …bla..bla..bla..(repeated, and again – til now, wondering how many times I had mentioned this)”

JP: “……..and I had also spoken to Dr. Xavier’s aide - Mr Raju, regarding this matter.”
Daniel: “We will raise a complaint letter to MPK.”
(Still, with a different hope falls to a different party-DAP this time, I grateful to Daniel)

Somewhere in the middle of August, I called back the Daniel’s number.
Surprisingly, who do you think answered the phone?

JP: “Hello, can I speak to Daniel?”
XXX: “What is it regarding?”
(sounded a big different with Daniel’s type of soft volume, this time the one answering sounded hard and firm volume like a Tai-Ko )

so I asked: “Is this YB Liu ?”
XXX: “ha. Huh. (he wasn’t laugh. You know, it’s a bit like admitting to my question)”
XXX: “Who is this?”
JP: “I called Daniel weeks ago. Regarding sick drains issue in Tmn Sri Sentosa, Klang.”
XXX: “I’m in a hospital now, I can’t talk.”
JP: “I’ll call you back tomorrow.”

I got know about this moron’s aide being admitted to a hospital due to that “loyal” aide refusing to follow ICAC officers back for investigation, only after I hung up phone and read a web news. My heartiest sympathy to his aide too but no sorry to the moron.
I called him again the following days.
JP: “Regarding sick drains in Tmn Sri Sentosa”
XXX: “I can’t talk now. In a meeting.”
(WATA FUCK!!! I tended to throw him back this word. How should I knew when is the best time to call; why don’t this mind retarded people’s representative serves to reply my call whenever he’s free of being moron ??!!! )
This time, still without saying any bad-bad word to him, to behave in “pretending” politely (sigh…they even can’t pretend as good as me), I just hung up the phone without saying any word!

This is the end ~.. this is a real ending for all moron servings, even most of us don’t wish to see it’s an ending for Pakatan governance in Selangor!
Post Note: now I know why the Star’s editor directed me to call Ronnie, don’t you?

NOTE (again): This was the reason I had created a group in Facebook to shout loud to these morons [say NO to “gaji buta” ADUN / MP] and up-to-date its membership figuring 300 only, with ordinary citizens, voters and even Pakatan – DAP’s and PKR’s are joining too. I can assure you, after my written of this, bundles of them might just quit due to:
1. Conflict to their rules of conduct of each political party accordingly, where what I condemning was their Pakatan’s counterpart;
2. Completed their info news-spying onto their opponent party’s opinion.
But, still many others will keep staying as:
1. It is their right of freedom to join any other non-partisan group (my group stated clearly – we will condemn BN’s too if they tagged “gaji buta”);
2. They know that I am non-partisan and just an ordinary voter, where they will treat my written as an alarm to alert their counterpart.
And I hope more and more of my precious readers will join the group too as you may encounter similar constrained situation too one day, who knows?

It's an alert to Selangor state people to aware that our state EXCO- Puan Teresa Kok's effort in bringing in foreign investors. Why said [alert] ? Because the investors she brought in was a group of [Risk Management] syndicate, whereas this (in my perception) was a group of syndicate tending to bring out nation 's money (capital) but not bringing in foreigner's money (capital) !!

What a dangerous she had caused to adding salt into scars where at this stage our nation are so desperate needing investors to create more opportunity !!

大家都会为招商成功的政府欢呼雀耀。续雪州民联政府的行政议员 – 郭素沁早前自荐或被派遣到中国招商，不知耗时多久，终于有了成果。

在一份遗留在我集团旗下子公司茅坑里的旧报纸，我本无聊边拉屎边看报却惊阅一篇标题 [时机成熟钱就到- 中国创投资金] 的有关新闻。

招商，顾名思义是招徕或引进商人`商机。在利民的政策下，招商即是为州民谋进外资，进而推广更多商机` 启动商业旋链` 营造更多的就业机会。
简单来说，招商便应该是招来外国的资金`金主投资在本国。
孰知在郭小姐的有心或缺乏经验或蒙胧的经营下，本么倒置的招商惊变成招狼入舍！在那篇新闻里头（附图），报导了本月23号来了帮风险投资公司的考察团作资料收集。
在我的理解里头，[风险投资公司] – 是做资金收集，后，投资于风险高但（报称）回酬也高的商机，简称投机！

通常这类投资（投机）公司都会哄有钱要投资的人（顾客）把资金交托于它们，谎称会有“专业”人士“帮” 顾客作有利的“专业”投资以获得高回酬。
但往往事与愿违抑或有心操纵，顾客的血汗资金多半是付序流水`血本无归！有者更须背上超颌损失 (Over Loss) 的后续债务！

这类 “谋人寺” 通常都是雇佣一班换一班正貌的簇新大专毕业生，经“专业”焙训来进行不柳的十寸不烂哄来顾客（金主）以招至成万上亿的业务。
而很多此类公司都不会久留于一处。往往在一处“肥”后或“扬”（臭名）后，便金蟾脱壳即搬另一处继续涂炭！
事宜，此趟北飞神州，招商不成反而变成招狼入舍；若投机公司回国分析收集的资料得悉我州金主潜质而让之设立于我州，实是人民的祸害！

那份报纸后续的报导还蒙胧的转载了该公司经美饰后的公司笼统简介`业务大纲等等。。。您，相信吗？

DAP Berkuasa Sepenuhnya Di Selangor?

Apabila berlakunya peristiwa berhubung pengawalan penjualan arak di Selangor, yang bermula di Shah Alam, tiba-tiba UMNO/BN cuba menonjolkan diri mereka sebagai juara Islam! Pelik bin Ajaib, bukankah mereka yang memerintah selama 52 tahun sebelum naiknya PR? Mungkin mereka terlupa. Melayu UMNO sememangnya mudah lupa.

Semasa BN memerintah, penduduk Seksyen 8 Shah Alam sudah pun meminta supaya kedai 7-Eleven di tempat mereka tidak menjual minuman keras. Jawapan UMNO ialah menguncikan Surau Seksyen 8 kerana penduduk Seksyen 8 dianggap ‘melampau’. Walaupun hubungan kedua peristiwa ini tidaklah begitu ‘direct’, tetapi lebih kurang begitulah ceritanya. Kisah ini pun mungkin mereka lupa kerana Melayu UMNO mudah lupa.

Sekarang UMNO yang sama ini ingin mengherdik DAP dan memomokkan rakyat dengan ‘ancaman’ kekuasaan DAP. Ada yang sampai berkata, “tunggulah apabila DAP berkuasa sepenuhnya, mereka akan tunjuk belang mereka dan menindas ummat Islam!” Hmmm, setahu saya, UMNO/BN yang menindas ummat Islam selama ini. Melalui ISAnya. Melalui pemecatan Mufti dan Pegawai Masjid yang tidak akur kepada kehendaknya. Melalui penarikan balik bantuan per kapita kepada sekolah agama rakyat dan sebagainya. Mungkin ini pun mereka lupa juga.

UMNO ingin memomokkan DAP di kalangan orang Melayu, sepertimana memomokkan PAS di kalangan masyarakat Cina dan India. Namun sebenarnya, tidak mungkin DAP berkuasa ‘sepenuhnya’ di Selangor. Walaupun boleh dipertikaikan kenyataan UMNO/BN ini, tetapi cuba kita andaikan sahaja, untuk memuaskan hati mereka. Hakikatnya jika diteliti, DAP tidak mungkin berkuasa ‘sepenuhnya’ di Selangor kerana bagaimana mungkin mereka berkuasa ‘sepenuhnya’ sekiranya mereka hanya bertanding 16 dari 56 kerusi sahaja?

Inilah akibat mengajar Metamatik dalam bahasa Inggeris. Orang UMNO sudah tidak pandai mengira! Kalau ingin berkuasa ‘sepenuhnya’, maka sepatutnya DAP bertanding untuk mendapatkan majoriti 2/3 yang bersamaan dengan 38 kerusi. Barulah mampu berkuasa ‘sepenuhnya’.

Kalau ingin berkuasa dengan majoriti mudah sekalipun, DAP akan memerlukan 29 kerusi. Adakah mungkin memenangi 29 kerusi sekiranya hanya bertanding 16? Atau apakah mungkin orang UMNO anggap kerusi DUN ini boleh beranak-pinak?

Itulah sebabnya kita perlukan ‘Pakatan’. Bukan PAS sahaja, UMNO pun perlukan pakatan dengan MCA dan MIC serta Gerakan. Namun sekarang ini MCA, MIC dan Gerakan tidak lagi mampu mendapat sokongan bukan Melayu. Oleh itu UMNO membawa mesej Melayu ekstrim kerana mereka menyedari bukan Melayu tidak akan lagi mengundi mereka, walau sekerap manapun Najib berulang ke Batu Caves.

Kasihan melihat gelagat UMNO. Ini tak kena, itu tak kena. Akhirnya, seperti biasa kembali menipu dan memomokkan rakyat dengan ketakutan terhadap DAP dan PAS. Inilah akibatnya apabila sudah kehabisan modal.

Malaysia Police center force - the Bukit Aman had started action in pulling their gang to investigate Selangor state Executive Council member (EXCO). The two had been tasked was the recently faced various alleged Ronnie Liu and the one who's having his aide died falled from MACC building !

What if our country the similarity with Taiwan that politician got to be linked up [black-money] in order to run their activities ? With bundles of millions pumped by these syndicate, should they pay them back, and in what form of method paying ?

来自武吉安曼警察总部商业犯罪组及网络犯罪组的警官，今日兵分两路登门前往两位民联雪州行政议员刘天球、欧阳捍华的办公室，并向两人及他们的助理录取口供。

据悉，警方是因为公正党旺沙马朱国会议员黄朱强日前揭露，有雪州行政议员借出办公室给黑帮开会一事，进行调查。

警方是在中午12点抵达雪州政府大厦。不过由于刘天球已经北上峇东巴西助选，而仅能向其办公室助理茜蒂法鲁丝（Fairus Shohaime）录供。

欧阳捍华开始时仍在开会，因此稍后才在本身的办公室会议室，与其女书记诺拉查依斯迈（Norazah Ismail）分别录供。

警方在录取欧阳捍华的口供后，在下午2点25分离开。欧阳捍华表示，警方是援引多媒体及通讯法令第211，调查此案。

警方也告诉欧阳捍华，由于报案书没有指明是哪一位行政议员涉案，因此警方也会调查其他行政议员。

陪同茜蒂法鲁丝录供的刘天球执行秘书钟文豪说，2名警方人员是在下午3点半离开，并且取走了办公室的会客记录簿。

他说，警方的盘问重点在于，行政议员会客的程序

With refering back to my previous article-[ Road to Demolish Our Last Wall ! ! [1 Apa Untuk Siapa ] which strongly slam against those hypocrites-racist blogger campaigning to urge Ministry of Education to implement [1 Sekolah Untuk Semua],
today the Deputy Minister of Education - Dr Wee Ka Siong come alongside to my view in slamming those blogger (those only with their hypocriticial and own-agenda or racist) who claimed that vernacular schools were causing racial tension in the country !!

The MCA Youth criticised some bloggers and an online petition supporting the "One School for All" campaign.
MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said MCA planned to take action against bloggers who claimed that vernacular schools were causing racial tension in the country.

Wee said MCA strongly disagreed with the statements made by bloggers and might lodge a police report against them or refer them to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

1 Sekolah Untuk Semua: Another Racial Bigot

I feel compelled to respond to an initiative by a group of 'pro-unity' bloggers to campaign for a common education system for all. The proponents are a group of Malay bloggers. I am not sure if they are really 'pro-unity' as claimed by Rocky Bru. We will talk about this in a while.

It is a good proposal to integrate our school systems. A common education system is a foundation of national unity if students of various ethnicity would be allowed to learn the language of their choice.

Education system in US, Belgium, France and other developed countries provide an opportunity for high school and undergraduates to pursue exchange programmes with various institutions from other countries. This is what globalisation of education is about.

Back to this Najib flavoured, 1Sekolah initiative, I have a creepy feeling reading the tagline of this campaign: Satu Sekolah untuk Satu Bahasa, Satu Bangsa, Satu Negara.

I have question for the proponents of this initiative, which bahasa (language)? These language purists are not consistent with their stand. In the age of globalisation, it is suicidal and stupid to suggest that Malaysian children should only be taught the mastery of a language.

Rockybru is trying to link this initiative to the Singaporean model. I don't have a problem with the Singaporean model which is merit-based and learning focused. If we can take out both politics and religion from the schools, a good integrated education system focusing on knowledge and skills acquisition would be proper for our country.

But Rockybru is definitely pushing his luck trying to equate 1Sekolah to the Singaporean system.

This campaign has started on the wrong footing: Blaming disunity on vernacular schools.

"Sekolah Vernakular (SJKC dan SJKT) adalah punca utama ketidakserasian dan ketegangan kaum di negara kita tercinta."

The proponents of 1Sekolah cannot even be truthful about the main problem of disunity and racial disharmony. Why blame the Chinese and Tamil vernacular schools when it was obvious that some UMNO politicians had started the racial blame game? Did you hear any students or teachers from the vernacular schools doing the same? Why is Rockybru keeping his golden silence when a vernacular newspaper, Utusan Melayu, from his media group is keeping up with the tradition of racial flaming?

It is disappointing to see a group of 'pro-unity' bloggers parotting the same rhetoric to cause even more disunity.

Calling the vernacular schools as a cancer and a cause of our society's destruction is both shameful and dishonest. These schools had produced some of the finest leaders for the country. Many of MIC, MCA and UMNO leaders came from vernacular schools.

Yes, the definition of vernacular schools should include both Malay and religious schools too. I wonder why these 'pro-unity' bloggers had limited the term 'vernacular' to only both Chinese and Tamil schools. How can unity be achieved through this kind of stereotyping?

This campaign is politically driven and filled with inflamatory statements:

"Pengkajian semula sistem pelajaran negara ini haruslah dilakukan memandangkan fenomena perpecahan kaum yang semakin meruncing di masa kini. Gejala ini amatlah jelas sekali di alam siber dimana segelintir masyarakat kini mempamirkan sikap anti-negara yang semakin ketara dan berleluasa.

Jelas sekali, anasir-anasir ini tidak menghormati asas dan prinsip perlembagaan negara Malaysia, tiada rasa cinta kepada tanah air dan juga menonjolkan penulisan hasutan yang mencetuskan sentimen perkauman yang begitu ketara sekali. Secara lantangnya, puak ini mempertikaikan segala unsur yang melambangkan kedaulatan dan intipati negara kita tercinta. Kami menyeru agar gejala Sekolah Vernakular ini di hapuskan secara total."

Bloggers who are part of BUM 2009 should take note of their pro-tem president's endorsement of this type of campaign. The 1Sekolah proponents should just make their intention clear and stop using a scapegoat to drive through their threat and intention.

It is the bloggers who are critical of the UMNO leadership that you wanted to take on. Not the ignorant and naive primary school students who are still learning their ABC in the Chinese and Tamil vernacular schools.

If it is the bloggers that you wanted to take on, we have a message for you too: Just Bring It On!

For goodness sake, stop flaming the Chinese and Tamil vernacular schools. These schools are funded and kept running mostly with public's money and support.

I have a message for the blogging community. Lets start our own movement: a truly non-racial movement.

BN SC tomorrow - dare UMNO, MCA, Gerakan and MIC leaders speak the truth to Najib to cut losses in Perak and face state general election?

Tomorrow is the first Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting of Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and it is shaping up to be an acid test whether the BN Supreme Council is going to be a new meeting of equals or of just like the past, between the Umno hegemon with subservient characters from the other Barisan Nasional component parties.

The May 31 Penanti state assembly by-election in Penang will be on the agenda, but even more important is the three-and-a-half-month-long Perak political and constitutional crisis which have brought one national institution after another into disrepute as well as undermined Malaysia’s international image and competitiveness.

Not only Pakatan Rakyat parties of DAP, PKR and PAS, but also independent organisations and NGOs like Suhakam, Bar Council, Council of Churches, Chinese guilds and associations, but also individual leaders from BN component parties have spoken up for the only viable solution to the Perak constitutional and political impasse – dissolution of the Perak State Assembly to return the mandate to Perakians in state wide general elections.

The question is whether Umno, MCA, Gerakan and MIC top leaders dare to speak the truth to Najib at the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting tomorrow that Najib should put national interests above party and personal interests, cut losses in Perak and face Perak state general elections to allow the people of Perak to decide their own political future.

The Perak political crisis would have been behind the country for two months if my proposal in mid-February for a dissolution of the Perak State Assembly and the holding of Perak state general elections within 30 days been heeded by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak – with Perakians and Malaysians able in the past two months to single-mindedly focus on acting in unison to face the world’s economic crisis in a century!

It the tragic to see the Perak political and constitutional crisis being dragged out for three-and-a-half months without any proper solution which respects the sovereign rights of the Perakians to elect the state government of their choice in sight.

What is worse, with each passing day, more and more damage is being done to the credibility, integrity and legitimacy of key national institutions, whether the police, the Election Commission, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency, the civil service, the media, judiciary, the monarchy and the office of the Prime Minister!

Or dare Najib own up to the BN Supreme Council meeting tomorrow that the unethical, undemocratic, illegal and unconstitutional power grab he orchestrated in Perak in early February has turned out to be his greatest mistake in his preparation to become the sixth Prime Minister, and demonstrate the courage to rectify colossal error by proposing the dissolution of Perak State Assembly and the holding of new state general elections?

With an expected twist drama in Perak where Pakatan MB YAB Mohd Nizar and his executive councillors vacated their office seven hours after taking office; hugged in and depressed out again !!

To put aside our point of preference and prejudice, lets us review some of the fact points commented by our "drama" politicians and observers:

9. Tempoh pilihan raya yang berlaku tidak sampai separuh penggal menyebabkan Tuanku Sultan enggan membubarkan DUN. Apatah lagi jika diadakan pilihan raya lagi pun, apakah politik akan stabil atau terus berkocak jika keadaan masih sama dengan mana-mana parti mendapat lebihan dua atau tiga kerusi.
10. Dengan kata lain, Baginda mungkin melihat satu lagi pilihan raya baru belum tentu menjanjikan kestabilan politik di Perak jika keputusannya lebih kurang sahaja.

BN can choose to appeal to the High Court ruling and this may then drag on effectively rendering the Pakatan state government ineffective.

Personally, I feel that a fresh state election will be the best way to resolve this stalemate. Let the rakyat decides and once for all, we resolve this problem, which is not doing anybody any good.

(3) PGRM - Dr. Hsu Dar Ren stated, (in his blog at http://hsudarren.wordpress.com/2009/05/12/press-statements-on-perak/)
1. As a Central Committee member of Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia, I strongly urge the Barisan Nasional as well as the Pakatan leadership to come together for an understanding to jointly seek the permission of the ruler to dissolve the Perak State Assembly and seek a fresh State Election, which in my view is the only sensible solution to the problem.

2. Enough farce has been played and enough damage has been done to the nation. In the interest of the people of Perak in specific and Malaysia in general, it is no longer a matter of who is right and who is wrong. The decision of who should form the rightful government should no longer be decided in courts , but rather it should be decided by the people of Perak themselves, going by the very basic principle of democracy.

3. I humbly appeal to both sides to go back to democratic principles and let common sense prevail rather than trying to hold on to power and lose the support of the people.

Keputusan apa pun oleh Mahkamah Tinggi memang boleh dirayu. Tetapi, jika bagi orang awam biasa sekalipun boleh mengerti bahawa pemecatan Nizar adalah tidak sah, dan itu telah pun diputuskan oleh Mahkamah Tinggi, Najib sepatutnya tidak lagi menggunakan saluran undang-undang untuk menyelesaikan krisis Perak yang beliau sendiri mulakan.

Keberanian menerima realiti dan keberanian menyelesaikan kemelut ini mengikut saluran politik adalah segala-galanya. Jika rayuan itu nanti masih memihak kepada Nizar, Najib dan UMNO akan menanggung malu yang lebih besar. Jika keputusan itu atas apa sebab pun memihak kepada BN, rasa euphoria rakyat atas bebasnya kehakiman negara ini kembali menjadi negatif.

Jika Najib berani bertindak bersama PR untuk memujuk Sultan Perak memperkenankan pembubaran DUN, BN mendapat dua markah. Markah atas bebasnya kehakiman di bawah pentadbiran Najib dan point yang kedua, kerana berani mencari jalan penyelesaian kepada krisis atas prinsip kembalikan kuasa penentuan kepada rakyat.

Peluang institusi Diraja Perak keluar dari kemelut ini dengan tahap imej yang lebih tinggi adalah terbuka luas. Bubarkan saja DUN Perak dan biarkan rakyat memutuskan penghakiman mereka.
Bagi PAS dan PR, bukan bermakna pembubaran itu akan menguntungkan mereka. Rakyat Perak mungkin mengundi tidak seperti yang PR harapkan. Apa pun, pembubaran DUN tetap langkah terpuji yang membuktikan PAS dan PR adalah pemain demokrasi yang jujur dan pruden serta berani meletakkan rakyat di tempat teratas. Kuasa bukan segala-galanya tetapi prinsip-prinsip utama lebih didahulukan.

the better way is to dissolve the DUN and if the YM Regent consent to dissolve it, then this should leave the Regent out of the politic-crash and earns them (the Regent) respects.)

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — Pakatan Rakyat’s Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin is the real mentri besar of Perak , the Kuala Lumpur High Court decided today.

Judge Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim said in his ruling: “The only way to force the MB to resign is through a vote of no confidence that must be taken in the state legislative assembly.”

The High Court also rejected an appeal from Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Datuk Zambry Abdul Kadir for a stay of the declaration.

Nizar is now on the way to Ipoh to seek an audience with the Perak Sultan to ask for consent to dissolve the state assembly.

Lim Si Pin, just one of another HYPOCRITE politician ..

Lim Si Pin, as one of the young leader who is having a good sign rising up as Malaysia politician leader, should earned himself bundle of supports from Malaysia younger age (voters, expecially Chinese) after he had been elected as the Gerakan (PGRM) 's Youth Chief in the past few months.

Need no to mention he is the son of the Gerakan's giant - Lim Keng Yaik, some of his opinions and ideas posted in his blogs grab echoes even from his rival party's supporters. We were pleased that Malaysia may soon raised up another giant fighter !

Surprisingly, his recent posting in his blog ruined his effort to convince people that he is one of another fresh hope for the nation and jeopardise his image ! In his recent posted article-blog [A Look Behind The Scenes] -, he written that he had having a social chat with one of his old classmate (who's PKR member) and this old friend told him that the how the DAP 's twos controlling their Menteri Besar (Mohd Nizar) and Speaker (Sivakumar). As we all knew, the Gerakan having deep feeling on DAP after they lost their Penang state and its no doubt that both party are trying (and fighting) their very best to gain people's votes in Perak. Battlefield in Perak and Penang state amongst each are obviously seen.

With a informats (the old class friend of LimSiPin) telling him the weaknesses of his rival party, Lim should be excited and extremely pleasant to gain more bullets for gunning down his rivals and REGAIN back votes from Perak's constituency. What I found strange here is that when this old class friend filled him with more explosive inner state's scandals about "certain names of Directors in some ‘Sdn Bhd’ that were linked to a few selected privilege persons whom are elected ADUNs." and "These are companies that were purely set up for the sake of handling land, quarries, official uniforms, etc etc that were profit making in concern." as prescribed in his blog, he then STOPPED his friend to lying to him !! - (I just didn’t believe my friend. I told him to shut up and stop talking nonsense.) ? ? ?

This is totally like a scene in an action movie I might had seen before, - the Demon shouted at his muscle-full bouncers "Stop beating him, he is dying! StOP!!" and in his heart damn wanting the victim to be cleared-off! When police arrived and questioned the demon, he stated that he had warned them to stop and not to kill the victim. So, he excaped ..
THIS is totally hypocritical !!

Its made us really disappointed that such a good image-covered arising politician is just another hypocrite, again !!

P/S: Sometimes we rather choose to believe that the article posted was NOT his own writing!

How could it come to this?

MAY 9 — Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Malaysians had an attitude towards the Indonesians. We used to laugh at them because they were living under the authoritarian military Suharto regime. The military was a law unto itself and we Malaysians thought that we were so much better off than the Indonesians.

There was a lot of pride in being a Malaysian, not least after mega projects such as the Twin Towers. Malaysia was on its way to becoming a respected fully developed country. There was much confidence that we will reach 2020 without any real problems.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had a strong grip on power and this allowed many things to be done quickly, often without the checks and balances. Nevertheless, people were willing to live with this as long as the country was moving forward.

Today, after the Perak fiasco, we really have to ask ourselves, if we are a nation in waiting or a failed nation. Any sensible person, inside and outside Malaysia, would come to the conclusion that Malaysians are willing to do anything to get power, even to the extent of destroying the constitution, the rule of law and parliamentary traditions. And for what?

You may have power but power without legitimacy is the same as having no real power. Do those in power really think that the people are so stupid that they cannot tell who is the legitimate government? Do they honesty think that what happened on Thursday will have no effect on the next general election?

The question I have to ask is this; how did it come to this? We have always taken pride in ourselves that we are more developed than our neighbours. We never had a military coup; we always held elections (free but not fair); we have a fairly solid judiciary and, by and large, legitimately elected governments since independence. Even the hiccup of 1969 lasted only about 18 months before the nation was back on track.

We have to ask ourselves — how can it be that asking people to protest in a non-violent way, such as wearing black or yellow, can lead to a massive police crackdown? These are the sort of things we expect to see in a banana republic, not a country that wants to be a fully developed nation in 11 years’ time.

We have to ask ourselves — how can it be that lawyers are arrested for trying to defend their clients? That lighting candles can be deemed a security threat? Are we that fragile that a sea of people wearing black and holding candles will lead to the disintegration of the country?

Surely, after 51 years, we have come to a stage where we can have a mature political discussion. Surely after 51 years, we must allow our citizens to protest in a non-violent way and use non-violent means.

It is time that we moved up the ladder in terms of our political development. We should not allow history to shackle us and hold us back. Just because a minority prefers Malaysia to remain a banana republic does not mean that all of us must behave like monkeys.

We must learn to agree to disagree. We must learn that a difference in political opinions does not lead to chaos and emergency rule. We must learn that dissent has a place in a modern democratic nation. We must learn that the rule of law is the best guarantee for the nation’s future.

And perhaps we should learn the most important lesson; what happens today will be reflected tomorrow. Do we want to leave what happened in Perak as the legacy for future generations?

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

After I (RPK) wrote my last article in No Holds Barred (It’s all about race, stupid!), I went to sleep -- after staying awake for almost 24 hours. I admit that my No Holds Barred article was very fiery, practically calling for blood. I make no apologies for that but I suppose sleep depravation does that to you; it makes you lash out. Nevertheless, I maintain my stand that what they did to Siva -- dragging him out of the State Assembly like a sack of potatoes and unceremoniously evicting him -- was downright uncivilised and utterly inexcusable.

After five hours of a good sleep, and with a clearer mind because of it, I have had time to reflect on what happened in Ipoh yesterday. As I said, I make no apologies for what I wrote earlier and have not changed my views. But what I have since been able to do is to analyse what the thinking of the Pakatan Rakyat leaders could have been and why they ‘abandoned’ Siva to his fate.

Could not Pakatan Rakyat have demonstrated a show of force and defend Siva to the last man standing? Are the Pakatan Rakyat leaders that gutless that they did not stand up for what is right? After all, they are constantly screaming that Siva’s eviction is unlawful and his physical removal unconstitutional. Why then not defend the law and the constitution by force if necessary?

Well, I am looking at things from the perspective of a political activist. Pakatan Rakyat could probably be looking at things from the political angle. Not being a politician I do not see things the political way but the political activist way. And this is maybe why I do not make a good politician. I just can’t see how sometimes in politics you have to allow the other side to show its true colours. In other words, you give your enemy enough rope for it to hang itself.

I have to go read Sun Tzu again and see what he said about strategy. And strategy involves many things. As Mao said, when the enemy chases, you run. When the enemy rests, you counter-attack. Mao must have read Sun Tzu as well and I am sure that was his ‘bible’ in the battle to win the hearts and minds of the Chinese people.

Something else Sun Tzu said was to not engage an enemy more powerful than you. And if it is unavoidable and you do have to engage, then make sure you engage it on your terms, not on your enemy’s terms. Choose your battlefield. Make sure it is a battlefield that you know. Never fight on a battlefield where your enemy will be stronger and better equipped than you.

The Taliban never read Sun Tzu -- or maybe they did, I don’t know. But they applied this strategy to the maximum and sent the powerful Russian military machine running back to Moscow with its tail between its legs. How to fight the Russian tanks, rockets and helicopter gun-ships when you are only armed with rifles? In an open battlefield the Russians would make mincemeat out of you.

Well, don’t engage the Russians in an open battlefield. The Russians would excel in an open battlefield. They are well equipped to fight in an open battlefield. So avoid the open battlefield and draw the Russians into the mountains. The Russian army is not trained to fight in the mountains plus their tanks would be useless in the mountains and the helicopter gun-ships would find the mountains most precarious.

So that is what the Taliban did. They knew the mountains like the back of their hands. They could move up and down those mountains blindfolded. And when the Russians came into those mountains the Taliban kicked the shit out of them. Eventually, the Russians called it a day and went home, but not after having to send home so many of their soldiers in body-bags.

So, what happened in Ipoh yesterday? There was hardly any resistance. PAS alone could have easily mobilised 50,000 supporters. Sure, there were roadblocks and thousands of police, hundreds in the State Assembly itself. But Pakatan Rakyat could have outdone this easily. Yet it did not. Why?

Anwar was not in Ipoh. Neither was Hadi Awang. Lim Kit Siang was but was not allowed in. And when they refused to allow him in he went off. There was no attempt to force their way into the State Assembly. No storming of the Bastille as had been hoped and as many had wished for. Why?

Was it complacency? Did they think Pakatan Rakyat would win the day without putting up a fight? Are they that naïve? Did they sell us out? Yes, those were the first questions running through my mind and lack of sleep allowed me to think only of the questions but the answers were not forthcoming.

I don’t believe it is any of the above. And I don’t think it is because of lack of caring or lack of interest as well. I think Pakatan Rakyat planned every move to the last detail and knew exactly what it was doing. And I think Barisan Nasional played right into Pakatan Rakyat’s hand.

But then I have a suspicious mind, as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is fond of saying. I am always looking for conspiracy theories. I am always thinking that there is more than meets the eye. I believe that politicians are good magicians. They distract you with their right hand while the trick is being performed with the left hand.

Is that what happened in Ipoh yesterday? Was that why it appeared like Pakatan rakyat offered only token resistance to make it look like they tried? Maybe, maybe not!

Let’s face it. Pakatan Rakyat had already lost the state. It lost the state when the Sultan sacked Nizar and replaced him with Zambry. Pakatan Rakyat now has lesser seats than Barisan Nasional in the State Assembly. What happened in Ipoh yesterday was merely to confirm what was already fact -- that Pakatan Rakyat is no longer the government in Perak.

Pakatan Rakyat could have resorted to force, bloodshed even. But would that have helped them get back the state? What it may have done is to give the police an excuse to detain everyone under the Internal Security Act and declare martial law in Perak like what they did in Kelantan more than 30 years ago -- and which I have written about before. That means democracy would be suspended and they can run Perak without the ‘burden’ of a State Assembly. Umno would be doing things without any opposition since there is no longer any State Assembly and therefore no longer any opposition in the State Assembly.

I believe Pakatan Rakyat knew it could not have won a military campaign in Ipoh yesterday. It has problems even winning the legal battles in court. The only way, therefore, is to allow Barisan Nasional to do what it did and which in turn would antagonise the people.

If blood had been spilled, the people might blame Pakatan Rakyat rather than Barisan Nasional for it. Sure, Barisan Nasional is violent. But then Pakatan Rakyat knows that Barisan Nasional is violent. Why then allow them to use violence whereby the people are exposed to risk and danger? Pakatan Rakyat should look after the people’s interest and guard their safety. Knowing that Barisan Nasional is violent and yet exposing the people to danger is downright irresponsible of Pakatan Rakyat.

This would be the reaction of the people if anything adverse happens to them. So Pakatan Rakyat very cleverly avoided violence and allowed Barisan Nasional to do what it did in Ipoh yesterday. And, today, more people have become disgusted with Barisan Nasional and will vote for Pakatan Rakyat in the next election, or by-election, just to demonstrate this disgust. They may not vote for Pakatan rakyat because they love Pakatan Rakyat. But they will certainly vote for Pakatan Rakyat because they now hate Barisan Nasional even more than before yesterday’s fiasco in Ipoh.

Was, therefore, Siva merely collateral damage? Were they expecting this and did Barisan Nasional do exactly as expected? After all, the state had been lost months ago. Winning the battle of the State Assembly, yesterday, would not have got the state back. Instead, it would have invited other problems, the people’s safety being one of them.

This is of course only my wishful thinking. I could be wrong, I don’t know. I would like to believe that what happened was part of Pakatan Rakyat’s plan and that it worked as planned. I hope and pray that Pakatan Rakyat laid a trap and that Barisan Nasional walked right into it and got snared.

As I said, I am not a politician. So I think differently from the way politicians do. But I do hope that what I am currently thinking is what they had also been thinking all along and that what happened in Ipoh may appear to have been a defeat but was actually a political victory that, in time, will reveal itself.

They say: he who has the last laugh has the best laugh. Was yesterday, in Ipoh, the last laugh? Or is the last laugh yet to be laughed? And who is going to have that last laugh? Politicians are so devious.

And am I being too idealistic here?

Female reps accuse DAP and PKR of sexual harassment

IPOH: Several Barisan Nasional female assemblymen and their independent comrade Hee Yit Foong have claimed that they were manhandled by DAP and PKR assemblymen during Thursday’s assembly sitting.

The group claimed that the fracas that ensued left them fatigued with body aches and that the physical scuffle was tantamount to sexual harassment. (oh the poor ladies...)

Sungai Rapat assemblyman Datuk Hamidah Osman said that Barisan’s five female representatives, including herself, became victims of vicious attacks when they tried to protect Hee from being harassed by the Opposition.

“There were definitely elements of sexual harassment because they came and grabbed us from the back,” she said yesterday, adding that she might lodge a police report. (Oh no, really? Luckily it wasn't from the front!)

They, however, stressed that PAS assemblymen had been very polite and well behaved throughout the sitting and even thanked them for staying out of the drama.

Hamidah said that it was clear the Barisan representatives were the victims because the ruckus only took place on the Barisan side of the hall.

“This shows that they had been the ones to attack us. Naturally, we had to respond in self-defence. None of our assemblymen had crossed over to their side,” she said.

Hee said that her former colleagues from DAP had not just hurled rude words at her but nearly slammed the hard-cover Standing Orders into her face.

“I have the book which contains the signature of the person who owns it,” she said, adding that she might lodge a police report.

Meanwhile, principal assistant to the State Secretary (management services division) Shamshuzaman Sulaiman said about 10 microphones were damaged and a large flowerpot smashed during the chaos.

A number of microphones on the tables had been pulled out during the melee.

He said the flower pot was shattered when policemen were dragging former Speaker V. Sivakumar out of the House. (They're more concerned about the flowerpot than a person???)

He said the State Secretariat would have to discuss with the Public Works Department on the repairs.

Hamidah told reporters yesterday that she saw Pasir Pinji assemblyman Thomas Su damaging the microphones.

“He broke at least three microphones. I saw him doing it right in front of me,” she claimed. (as she stamped her foot on the ground, hands on hips..)

Kampung Gajah assemblyman Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin claimed that Su had even shoved her hands aside when she tried to protect the microphone. (oh my!!!)

“I was trying to allow the new Speaker (Datuk R. Ganesan) to address the House but Su pushed my hands away and broke the microphone.

“When we moved the Speaker to a different block, he (Su) did the same thing,” she said.

When contacted, Su said: “Well, there was a tussle and the situation was so chaotic. Who knows, they (Barisan assemblymen) could have been the ones who broke them.”

The Barisan Nasional used the law of the jungle to completely undermine parliamentary democracy, the rule of law and the doctrine of separation of powers to add another ignominious chapter to the unethical, undemocratic, illegal and unconstitutional power grab in Perak on Feb. 5, 2009, foisting on the people of Perak two Perak Assembly Speakers and even two Assemblies, as if the three-month-long constitutional crisis of two Mentris Besar is not outrageous enough.

Never before in the 52 year history of the nation has there been a more shameful episode as what happened yesterday.

The sight of the legitimate and lawful Perak Speaker, V. Sivakumar physically dragged out of the Perak State Assembly still in his Speaker seat stands as an indictment of the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak who orchestrated the Perak “coup d’etat”, the usurper and illegitimate Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Zambry Abdul Kadir and now usurper and unlawful Perak Speaker, Datuk R. Ganesan.

These three should hold their heads in shame for bringing Perak and Malaysia to such a disgraceful depth. As a result of the Day of Infamy, the credibility, integrity and legitimacy have plunged to an even lower ebb.

The police arrest of 69 people, including five Members of Parliament and five State Assembly representatives from the Pakatan Rakyat in the police lockdown of Ipoh, was a gross abuse of police powers and the height of irresponsibility – when ordinary Malaysians are living in fear of endemic crime, illustrated by deaths of two pregnant snatch theft victims within 72 hours.

Jamilah Selamat, 31, who was two months pregnant and four-month pregnant Saripah Mohd Nor were killed in two separate incidents when their bags were snatched while they were on motorcycles. Jamilah died of severe head injuries when her head hit a pavement upon falling off the motorcycle in Batu Pahat and Saripah was knocked down by a car after falling off her motor cycle in Kota Bahru.

The Day of Infamy in the Perak State Assembly yesterday has made a total mockery of and pulverized Najib’s motto of “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now.”

All Malaysians should keep the photographs of the outrage of the Perak Speaker being physically dragged out of the Perak Assembly by police officers and goons and demand accountability by Barisan Nasional leaders from Umno, MCA, Gerakan and MIC as to why they have brought such infamy to Perak and Malaysia.

The Day of Infamy can only be wiped out by the people of Malaysia.

Malaysians should not only keep the photographs but also the video clips of the Day of Infamy available on my blog, to remember that they must use their democratic rights to wipe out such infamy in Perak and the country.

Perak: Tragedi Demokrasi Terhalang

Babak-babak yang berlaku di dalam dan luar Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan yang menempatkan Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Perak pada hari ini sudah pasti mengecewakan semua yang menghormati sistem demokrasi dan Institusi Raja-raja Melayu di Malaysia. Tidak cukup dengan memperlekehkan sistem politik kita sewaktu menjalankan sidang Dewan Undangan Negeri di bawah sebatang pokok, kini ADUN dan penyokong Pakatan Rakyat tergamak melakukan aksi kacau bilau gara-gara ingkar menerima titah Tuanku Sultan, pengadilan Mahkamah Persekutuan mahupun arahan pihak polis.

Walaupun puas mengeluarkan amaran untuk tidak menjalankan sebarang perhimpunan atau menggagalkan sidang DUN, pihak polis terpaksa menahan lebih kurang 30 orang pemimpin dan penyokong Pakatan Rakyat yang enggan bersurai dari persekitaran luar DUN Perak. Aksi degil pihak Pakatan Rakyat sekali lagi membuktikan pendekatan pihak tersebut yang acap kali berkeras melakukan apa sahaja untuk memungkinkan termakbulnya objektif sempit mereka, termasuklah melanggar undang-undang.

Yang paling mengecewakan adalah budaya rimba sudah dibawa masuk pula ke dalam dewan mulia DUN Perak. Gelagat bekas Speaker Dewan V. Sivakumar cuba mengusir YAB Mentri Besar Perak, Dato' Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir dan enam Exco negerinya bercanggah dengan keputusan Mahkamah Persekutuan 16 April lepas yang membatalkan penggantungan mereka. Tambahan lagi, sungguhpun Sivakumar telah diganti sebagai Speaker Dewan, beliau dengan sokongan dan bantuan fizikal ADUN-ADUN Pakatan Rakyat lain enggan mengosongkan kerusi Speaker untuk bekas ADUN Sungkai Datuk R. Ganesan yang dipilih sebagai Speaker baru. Ini merupakan sikap yang tidak mengendahkan keputusan majoriti setelah usul menggantikan Speaker dibentang dan pengundian dibuat secara sah.

Yang peliknya, aksi sebegini dikerjakan oleh pihak yang kononnya memperjuangkan sistem demokrasi daripada Barisan Nasional yang ‘rakus’. Namun, contoh tragedi hari ini dan insiden-insiden lain sebelum ini menimbulkan tanda tanya, siapakah yang sebenarnya rakus memegang kuasa? Adakah Pakatan Rakyat mengamalkan prinsip demokrasi bermusim?

Akhir sekali, mutu dan budaya sistem politik kita direndahkan dari perspektif rakyat am yang sudah jemu dengan permainan politik seperti ini. Imej negara pula diaibkan di mata dunia oleh wakil rakyat-wakil rakyat yang tampaknya lebih ingin memartabatkan sistem anarki. Besarlah harapan saya bahawa pihak Pakatan Rakyat dapat kembali akur kepada prinsip demokrasi dan Raja berperlembagaan yang menjadi tunjang politik kita, demi kesejahteraan semua.

Kenyataan Khir Toyo bahawa beliau berterima kasih kepada keputusan Kerajaan Selangor untuk mengekalkan jawatan YB Elizabeth Wong sebagai Exco dan ADUN Bukit Lanjan serta berjanji akan mengeksploitasi isu tersebut merupakan satu kenyataan yang berniat jahat dan nakal (mischievous)

Daripada mengeksploitasi isu-isu yang tiada kaitan dengan urusan pentadbiran kerajaan negeri dan tugas awam, Khir Toyo harus memberi lebih perhatian peranannya sebagai Ketua Pembangkang demi mengimbangi dan memantau perjalanan pentadbiran kerajaan negeri.

Buat sementara waktu, prestasi Khir Toyo sendiri sebagai Ketua Pembangkang adalah amat mengecewakan. Bahkan kehadiran beliau dalam persidangan DUN Selangor amat mengecewakan.

Khir Toyo mungkin juga tidak mengetahui bahawa ADUN BN untuk Taman Templer, YB Datuk Subahan Kamal juga pernah membangkitkan perkara ini dalam sidang DUN dan beliau mempunyai pendapat yang amat berbeza dengan Khir Toyo.

Kalau dalam BN sendiri pun mempunyai pendapat yang berbeza, apa gunanya Khir Toyo mewar-warkan bahawa beliau akan mengeksploitasi isu ini? Bukankah lebih baik untuk beliau menumpukan sepenuh perhatiannya terhadap kerja-kerja pemantauan pentadbiran kerajaan Selangor?

Apa Kata Anwar Bertanding di DUN Penanti?

1. Dalam pada kita menanti bilakah Anwar akan mengumumkan kabinet bayangannya yang gagal direalisasikan pada 16 September tahun lalu, satu lagi pilihan raya kecil akan diadakan.

2. Kali ini di DUN Penanti. Bukan wakil rakyat meninggal dunia. Bukan wakil rakyat di penjara. Bukan juga mahkamah mengisytiharkan pilihan raya kawasan tersebut tidak sah. Kita terpaksa berpilihan raya kecil lagi kerana ada parti yang sibuk berpolitik sepanjang tahun.

3. Seingat saya tidak pernah berlaku begitu banyak pilihan raya kecil dalam tempoh setahun selepas pilihan raya kecuali selepas pilihan raya umum ke 12 yang lalu. Pilihan raya kecil yang terlalu banyak ini merupakan gangguan kepada kerja-kerja pentadbiran, pemulihan ekonomi dan pembangunan yang perlu dilakukan oleh kerajaan.

4. Jika dahulu mungkin Barisan Nasional sahaja yang berhadapan dengan dilema ini. Sekarang parti seperti Pas, PKR dan DAP juga akan berhadapan dengan dilema yang sama kecualilah mereka tidak mengambil kisah soal-soal kemajuan negeri.

5. Apakah persamaan di Permatang Pauh, Bukit Selambau dan Penanti? Hanya kerana Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim mahu mencatur politik dalaman parti beliau, kita semua terpaksa berhadapan dengan satu lagi pilihan raya kecil. Masa dan tenaga yang boleh dicurahkan untuk kerja-kerja lain terpaksa ditumpukan kepada pilihan raya kecil ini.

6. Kemungkinan besar majoriti pengundi di DUN Penanti akan terus mengundi PKR kali ini kerana ketaksuban dan sentimen mereka kepada Anwar Ibrahim yang telah banyak menabur jasa di Permatang Pauh atas tiket Barisan Nasional suatu ketika dahulu. Saya juga yakin Anwar akan menguar-uarkan bahawa jika calonnya menang di Penanti nanti, maka orang itu akan dimahkotakan sebagai Timbalan Ketua Menteri baru menggantikan tempat Fairus.

7. Sekadar lontaran idea, oleh kerana Anwar sekarang sudah gagal menjadi Perdana Menteri dalam masa terdekat ini, apa kata beliau sendiri bertanding di DUN Penanti dan kemudiannya menjadi Ketua Menteri baru Pulau Pinang.

8. Mungkin ketika itu kita dapat mengukur kemampuan sebenar Anwar untuk mentadbir negara. Apa salahnya Guan Eng memberi laluan kepada pencetus kekuatan Pakatan Rakyat ini memimpin Pulau Pinang?

突破重围！凯里当选巫青团史来最年轻的团长！！

巫青团长三角战中突围
凯里险胜得票不足四成
当今大马团队 3月25日晚上11点19分
巫青团长龙头宝座竞争激烈，得票相近，导致必须多次重算。原本不受看好的卸任巫统主席阿都拉女婿，原任巫青副团长凯里，成功在三角战中，突出重围，当选史上最年轻的巫青团长。

他击败两名势均力敌的对手，即前雪兰莪州务大臣基尔以及前首相马哈迪的幼子慕克里兹。随着这次的脱颖而出，

现年33岁凯里的当选，缔造历史，成为巫青团史来最年轻的团长。

凯里的得票是304张票，基尔第二高票获得254张票至于慕克里兹则获得232张票。

比起第二高票的基尔，凯里的多数票仅有50张。

至于巫青团副团长之战，则由柔佛州巫青团长兼麻坡国会议员拉查里以417票胜出。拉查里也被视为前任巫青团长希山慕丁的“爱将”。他是击败隶属凯里阵营，首相阿都拉的政治秘书理查（Reezal Merican Naina Merican)。

凯里得票率仅38%

巫青团共有791名中央代表，这意味着凯里的得票仅有38%。

凯里也在第一时间表示本身将会以谦卑的心执行团长之职，由于他仅获得不到40%的得票。

一般认为，凯里在巫青团长竞选中仅赢得不到40%的票数，显示若出现两名对手分裂票数，凯里势必会被击败。

不过由于凯里的得票及两名对手的得票十分接近，导致必须多次重算，导致必须截至晚上11点15分才公布成绩。

巫统喉舌《新海峡时报》网页声称，巫青团长曾进行多达3次的重算。

凯里与慕克里联合高举双手

在成绩揭晓时，仅有凯里与慕克里兹在场。两人在宣布成绩后很有风度地一起联合高举双手，唯独不见基尔的踪影。

慕克里兹拥抱代表难掩失望

竞选失利的慕克里兹在很早就踏入会场等待成绩。虽然他展现风度，与所有代表一一拥抱，但脸上似已掩不住失望。

这时，会场外的凯里支持者，已在高歌庆祝，歌声一阵阵地传入会场。

慕克里兹与代表拥抱完毕后，便走到台下的前排位子坐下，一些支持者则随同他坐在一旁。

慕克里兹苦笑，支持者掉泪

在等候正式宣布成绩的时候，一名站在慕克里兹身旁的支持者，突然忍不住掉泪。慕克里兹见状，也忍不住情绪激动，眼眶泛红，但他看到摄影记者纷纷举起相机拍照时，脸上又挂起一丝苦笑。

当成绩宣布后，慕克里兹缓步走上台，与台上的中选者一一拥抱。他最后一名拥抱的是凯里，当两人相拥时，台下马上响起如雷的掌声。

慕克里兹较后接受记者访问时说，他将以开放的胸怀，看待这次的败绩，毕竟这也是比赛的过程之一。

“就如同（卸任团长）希山慕丁刚才所说，3角战肯定有两人败选，而今天，我成了两名败选者中的一人。”

“这并非我第一次败选，我曾在2004年古邦巴素的区部选举中失利。我吸取这次的教训，恭贺凯里中选。”

“我也希望青年团能够团结，继续巫统的传统，捍卫民族语言和文化。”

询及是否将继续政治斗争，慕克里兹则说，“当然，我还是一名党员，我认为我还有一些微小的贡献，我将尽力而为。”

数百支持者闹事拒绝解散

不过在巫青团长竞选成绩宣布之后，在晚上11点30分左右，数百名相信是慕克里兹与基尔的支持者不满落败，聚集在巫统大厦底层的入口处举行示威抗议，并高喊“凯里贪污”、“巫统不会改变”等口号宣泄心中的不满。

他们声称凯里的当选违反纳吉的意愿，违反了要求剔除金钱政治的改革巫统大计。

赶抵现场的警方要求这些慕克里兹的支持者离开会场，但是他们却拒绝离开，甚至还组织人墙阻拦警方解散人群。

落败一方的支持者过后还与另外数百名凯里的支持者产生冲突，双方发生肢体冲突和冲撞。

警方最终成功在大约12点20分左右驱散闹事的慕克里兹支持者，目前巫统大厦的情况已经恢复平静。

巫统纪律局日前宣布调查结果时，曾指责凯里涉及金钱政治，但却基于其犯规的代理人与凯里的关系“微弱”为由，仅加以警告一番，没有吊销凯里的竞选资格。不过针对纪律局的调查结果，凯里坚称本身并没有行贿。

被视为两名首相“代理人之战”

凯里及慕克里兹在巫青团长中的对决，被视为是两名交恶的首相，即前首相马哈迪及现任首相阿都拉之间的“代理人之战”。

在阿都拉即将卸任之际，事先不受看好凯里成功突围而出，被视为是马哈迪试图影响巫统党选成绩的努力已宣告失败。

马哈迪一直视凯里为眼中钉，甚至还特地撰写部落格贴文促巫统代表勿支持凯里，更呼吁纳吉勿让凯里入阁。

凯里起死回生，基尔政途没落

随着凯里的险胜，失去了阿都拉“庇护”的凯里政治生涯可说已经是“起死回生”，并有更多的本钱问鼎内阁部长的职位。传统上巫青团长将会被赋予部长职，尤其是青年及体育部长。

不过对于基尔而言，续断送雪州国阵政权，并在党选中落败之后，他的政治生涯可说已到了终点。

Pada peringkat awal penubuhan Malaysiakini pada tahun 1999 empat sekawan itu (Tian, Elizabeth, Stevan dan Pramesh) terlibat sama dalam mesyuarat membangunkan sebuah akhbar internet yang memperjuangkan 'justice, human rights, democracy, freedom of speech dan good governance' yang akhirnya dijelmakan sebagai Malaysiakini.com.

Setelah Malaysiakini ditubuhkan secara rasmi, Stevan Gan menjadi Ketua Pengarang dan Pramesh Chandran mengendalikan pengurusan kewangan sebagai Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif.

Manakala Tian Chua dan Elizabeth pula memilih pendekatan pemain di sebalik tabir portal internet itu serta lebih menonjol dalam NGO yang memperjuangkan hak asasi.

Tian-Elizabeth menggerakkan NGO yang dinamakan HAKAM (Hak Asasi Manusia) dan ARDA (Alliance for Reform and Democracy in Asia).

Dalam laporan Janet Steele, The International Journal of Press/Politics 2009; 14; 91 bertajuk "Professionalism Online: How Malaysiakini Challenges Authoritarianism", dia melaporkan Malaysiakini mendapat tajaan George Soros melalui Open Society Institute yang turut menaja Southeast Asia Press Alliance (SEAPA) dan Media Development Loan Fund (MDLF).

Bekas Editor Berita Malaysiakini, Chon Yen Long, kemudiannya mendakwa bahawa Malaysiakini menerima wang sejumlah RM 188,000 daripada Media Development Loan Fund (MDLF) yang dikaitkan dengan OSI milik Soros. referring to the 1st part which had been link-listed by Malaysiakini, this is the complete version,

With abandon the uprising nude photos which are going to be distributed soon (as according to Malaysiakini - Manadarin version), I am absolutely disagreed with neither intention nor tendering of resignation of the spoted one - Elizabeth Wong. Although I am neither the one permitting for her resignation's tender nor the one standing by her. And even many readers of this blog [JP-the 3rd PARTY] still perceiving that I am anti-Anwarism, I' still have to put my strong request, advice or persuade to YB Elizabeth Wong not to tender her resignation in whatsoever happened or happening soon.

I've known from Malaysiakini that YB Wong was graduated from an Aussie University. Well! I got an opportunity of full supporting from my family to further my study in Australia too but I had jeopardised it myself ten years back!..Nothing to story more than this about me here, let me tell you a story that may comfort you, or at least making it as a lighting in your dark room now...

Many years ago when I worked with a syndicate, I had a chance to go undercovered job in a football club (not to mention the Country here) and the club named PineKnightRussian-Chelsea Footballic Club (PKRChelseaFC). (NOTE: PKRChelsea - a footballic club which its main stakeholder was Pine and Knight brother, and the club had been sold to Russian recently)

I worked as a guidance to the Club's players. My main job function for the Club was to guide my assigned one player in his way impressing to fans and public. But most of the time I carried out job which included assisting them in clearing their hair left in hotel beds and cleaning their scoring-boots !

..It was the Boxing Day when my club thrashing another giant-Arsenal 4-1 to topseat at the Premiership Table then. Traditionally, ranking at the Premiership Table on Boxing Day reflecting fortune of a club which bringing signs of success or fail at the end of season. Most of the time, any club which falls at the bottom of the table will delegated to lower league whilst a leading club on Boxing Day will definately having great chance to be the Champion end of the season.

The victory made everybody in the club felt a comfortable way after fighting for the last 6 months.
While all players were toasting for our coach, Sir Aaron Ighram who had been awarded the Monthly Manager (Best Club Manager in a particular month) early on that cheering night, almost everybody hanged out !
Rodriguez illinois was there who had been hat-trick assisted in goals and scored ones in the "giant killer crash" early, he was going all way out to be cheered by his teammates and hanged out with Scotch Whisky; Edward Wardolf was there, the most hotpicked for the Golden Boot Award who had scored 25 goals so far but he seemed little bit mind disturbing and degusting his glass of wine quietly with smokes clouded round his head; and Adam Alex was there too. Adam was chasing hard for more scores in every games to overcut his own teamate to topple the Best Scorer Table desperately and he was squinting at Edward for the whole night like angered due Edward didn't pass him the sure-scored's ball in the match early.
The Club's Regional Business Director, Sir Khind Ighram was there too tasting his flavorful cigar together with the Manager, Sir Aaron. The others like Michael Osram Michael Jack (Centre Midfield) and Jamie Morin Roxi (BackWing) who have been sidelined for months after injury also there to join in the joyful night ...

After midnight, people starting hanged out from heavy drunk, some started pulling their heavy legs out to car pouch; but there were still others like Rodriguez, Adam, the two injureds, Osram and Jamie, and few from Youth Team, with the lesser drinker on that night - Edward still fresh looking.

"Guys, we are going for second round at the Clubz near Bazzaar, join us? ", asked by Adam who was walking abreast with Rodriguez.

"Ok! But I can't drink more due to my legs" said Osram pointed to his halt leg, Jamie nodded.

"Edward, you ?" asked the second best scorer, Adam.

"Nope, too much making my bird can't fly later! You guys have fun." Waving goodbye, Edward pointed to his private part.

"Can three of us join you guys ?" asked the three youngsters from Youth Team.

"Come, Adam will pay for the bill tonight !" Rodriguez pointed to Adam who snap on showing his center fingers.

"hooray !" the youngsters cheers. Off course they cheering, the pays of Youth Team players were many times lower than their senior.

They head toward the next stop, where a plot started up soon ...

While walking inside to a designated VIP room, suprisingly they saw some United players and Sir Anthony Brickman, the United Club's Manager were sitting there too!
The PKRChelsea boys thought that they had wrongly entered into other room, but one of a football agent, Mr. Y beckon at Adam by waving his hand. They knew each others.

Sir Anthony then stand up and walking out from the room after welcome his rivals, followed by his assistant, Nick (who was also said to be his successor after him). While Sir Anthony stepped far from the room, Nick still posing at the door side and he managed to wave Mr Y (the agent) to step forward to him for whispering betweens. I didn't heard what was the 2 minutes' sentence, cause I had found my seat inside.

We all know that football agents are very keen in dealing with players' buying. Their main function in the field was transferring player from one club to another and their earnings were extremely good, paid by commissions.

So, then left only Adam, Rodriguez, Osram, Jamie, three Youth Team players, United players, Stam, Brown and Gary who is the elder brother of Osram; together with Mr. Y and another agent cheered inside the room. Strange to find that the United players were enjoying too after they have lost their topseat to PKRChelsea.

Few more minutes later, a bandit (or we called him betting banker) from another football betting syndicate walked in and he welcomed by Mr Y. This bandit had been introduced to everybody in the room. With music turning loud, and the party goes on with delicious GROs and escorts laying down one by one .. What a enchantment night .....

With some already rubbing their hand onto girls' body, conversations between few people were going on ..
as I overheard few of thats, I was still fresh due my boss' unforgettable (as recording) word "Jeff, you can drink but can not drunk when you are me" still playback clearly in mind.

....."How can you guys scored in 4 balls ? Damn made us lost tons of money .."

....."Where is Edward by the way? He didn't showed up here ?"

....."He's good striker indeed. We want him in United club"

....."United offering fifteen millions (15,000,000) for buying him"

"We knew him well, now he had back to suck his mother's breast" said Adam "He used to hang out with us often previously"

"now he is chasing his dream to grab the Golden Boot (Best Scorer Award), and he is quite lazy to join us, no more" Rodriguez added.

....."are you sure, this is his real photos ?" after rounding talks about Edward, one of the three youth players turned on his mobile screen showing up to the bandit and the agent. With his highly ambitious heart to join a big club, the youth just smiled cunningly and nodded his head.
Well, I had seen more than these (photo), even worst than a real show I had seen. No surprisingly. In any premier's club, players were extremely damn rich, life like screw hell and they screw up every night. No surprising. I didn't take it hard.
Dum.do ..dum.do ..dum.dum.dum..music going on.....

"next game just follow what we will going to tell you".......

They are trying to manipulate result for the next coming game. Match fixing was illegal in the country but its just too usual and happened almost in every clubs in the premiership league.

After few weeks of this hangout, one of the Youth Team player charged due raping an underage girl. And continuing with more explosive news banged out -
Osram and Jamie was alleged to taken bribe for match fixing!

Then the PKRChelsea lost a match by an upset result and these dragged them down to second rank in the Premier Table !
Following weeks after this..everybody looks worrying, haunted and self defending. Some even had blocked a wall by not answering calls !

It's another more explosive rumour raised up when Edward said to be transferring out of the club, to linked up with the UNITED off course !
But then this rumour quickily denied by Edward 's press conference.

Few days after the press conference, Edward's sex photos were distributed to each of local news media !!

I'm still remember when I just consoled him by saying this "Take it easy. Wat the big deal ? Every adult having their sex life. This is not shame!" Edward quiet. Then I just snap on with this "..unless the photo shot you fucking dog or you had let a dog fucked you, have you ?" .....Oppps!

And following with the pressures going on (actually its nothing; unless he was really fucking dog), his rivals asked him to retired from his career !

"You shouldn't retire !" Adam (the one who chasing for the Golden Boot) told Edward with his suspiciously look,

"Don't bother of what they said, get on your life bro.." Rodriguez added.

Without any answer from Edward, they just walked out..

On the day Edward hold a press conference to announce his retirement, he said "I've done nothing wrong! Sexuality is every adult's life expecially when I am still single."
"I've done nothing wrong !" he repeated.

"I deicided to retired for the goodsake of my club and not to tarnish the club's reputation !"

People were so touching for his speech...

A Month after, at the season end United was crowned for their 51 Champion in Premier League and Adam awarded Golden Boot for best scorer .

I am not so naïve to believe that there is absolute press freedom, more so in a multiracial country, where restrain by the press is essential to maintain harmony.

Off late, I have received a lot of comments by people that a leading English newspaper has been giving a lot of space including picture opportunity to some leaders of MCA.

There are days when a particular leader occupies 2 to 3 pages of the newspaper.

Comments made by this particular leader are almost the same, which is “always very sensitive about the needs of the rakyat”. This is good if it is true and not just a political rhetoric.

A lot of people also commented that there is total blackout about me in the same newspaper. My reply was I am not surprised.

I have been travelling and officiating a number of functions and make pertinent comments about current events. To be fair, so far the Chinese press carried my news; but there is none in this particular newspaper.

To the English speaking MCA members, I am probably sleeping since they don’t read about me at all for the last 1½ month.

However, I told them if there is any adverse publicity about me, be sure it will be headline in this particular paper.

Papers have to be reliable and credible. The readers are discerning to fathom this. Only the editorials have loss touch with the people. Yet, these same paper editorials tell politicians not to loss touch with the rakyat.

This same newspaper in its leading comment about Najib adopt people first leadership style – said, “Leaders would always want to hear only good news but they could come from people with personal interest”.

Newspaper should present 2 sides to a coin.

If it only serves to trumpet a selected few and taking readers for granted, then the newspaper must be in denial.

Meanwhile, more and more readers are aware of the happenings in the editorial staffs of this particular newspaper. Good luck to them.

Time to Pay Your Bills
It's always a reason when things happened in such a way…

As the recent drama in Perak, the PAS’ MB is facing his toughest moment now. We've seen that his mouth still “showing off” smile and bringing jokes to his loving Perakian, but we heartful believe that his heart is squeezed. He was trying to calm down his supporters by bringing relaxing moment to alls when interviewed by reporters in his time-ending MB's office as we've seen on TV news.

This is the sad moment too considered if you are living in Perak! A “look-like” decent-man MB being “forced” to step down;

But the saddest portion should go to PKR.
PAS is a party wellknown with their clean governance, as Kelantan as ruled by Tok Guru; They lost a state, soon they will rebounded back to another climax, like Terengganu state - win-lost-win-and lost again, all determined by the Rakyat eager for developments in their area;

Whilst at the other end, PKR is more or least like a UMNO-II; never mentioned about their leader, Anwar was purely tutored from UMNO; and never mentioned about his keymen who jumped out from UMNO too and now topsitting at Selangor state. It's seems that most of the PKR ADUN who been appointed as states’ EXCO members were those “riches”, “business-minded” or “well-backing” persons.

In UMNO, we've heard that million dollars can buy you a district/area's chairman seat in their own party election; In PKR, we've might curious to find (out the evidence) that million dollars might won (or backed) you for a EXCO 's post in state.

Money is a sin; and money is the roll of everything. In political party, you need money. That’s why we've seen that they were collecting election fund when we ourselves felt the heat to give (but NOT donate -cause giving and donating are two different things) to give out our money pence (even it's the last one or two) into their fund box while the running of their arousing speech-shows. We are hoping for a [better Malaysia] (the most pop sentence nationwide) – that we are [hoping]. And this called the returns/gains that we're looking for. But if we are donating something, we don't look for returns.

Most of the people are not too generous; I'm not a generous person too as I'm also looking for the returns, a [better Malaysia].
Don't tell me that we are going forward to achieve what we are looking for, as “you can see we have manage to ruin the BN federal government by grabbing 1/3 of Dewan Rakyat 's seats which this should make them hard and harder to amend or impose any unbeneficial people but beneficial crony laws->…rules->…projects”; “you can see we have ruled in 5 states (but soon left 4..3..2..1..), and these states people are enjoying a clean and fair deal government now”; “so and soooon we are heading toward to our goal, the federal government”
This is our worry now! The federal government if it's really falls to their hands, how this country look like today ? We are worry now but we are looking forward to it then ! ?

Look at Selangor state, the PKR 's ADUN fired on DAP 's ADUN for the Bus-Channel issue;
the still unsettled (but now kicked the ball to court) in-waiting court’s judgment:Rawang Cable case;
the said said and talk talk water buying project; etc and etc..
Look at Penang, the PKR’s Deputy Chief Minister “boycotted/sidelined” by his own teammates;
Look at the recent hot state, the election for the village head/village chief or“Chun Chang”(in Mandarin) looks similarity objectively to put in their own party’s members (sponsoring type member, I think), which this election had been strongly disagreed by DAP;
Ride to the recent hot topic with his two under-charged for corruption law-suit ADUN s, then kidnapped (as prescribed by them), and then had “forced” to resign from their state assembly seat and now became independent (free of any party, at least at this moment) ADUNs;
Etc..and etc … chaos !

But all these are the only things floated up to surface, unveiled ones? Still a lots, I think. Most of the times when reported criminal showed you only 5 cases, it's means actually more than 5 !! Most of the people not reporting, hiding the truth, hiding for reasons …

Back to the point, after people given you money, off course they are looking for returns. NO doubt! They were not donating; they gave BIG sums to you!
And these big sums mainly came from unrevealed sources! United, for instant or others, country or could be syndicates in our own country which these bankers (as some called them supporters) are looking for their returns then, and now!!

So in the last few months (even the sparks clicking on at that moment in Selangor), he started to talk about Sarawak in order to “tuning” alls eye sides to the other side. Without giving any progressive action, the fire aroused then with one of the PKR 's state ADUN threatened to jump ship!
He created another fresh hope for his supporters (which included and mainly his bankers) by dreaming to write his first page at Sarawak!

“Time to pay your bill” (Luckily your name are not Bill Clinton) but the bill collectors at your doorsteps knocking hard and harder!
“Cake Not Shared in Fairness” (Even it's small but at least lets your partners to share a piece, but you got no more piece to share amongst your own partners cause it's already been distributed to your “fragile” partners -the other party in the joint Pakatan’s coalition)
Phones ringing, emails jerking in, faxes rolled out of paper, voice-transmitting through right-hand-men keep on annoying him like drilling hole at floor !

These alls made him scratching head and lost his wise judgments. And when a person is not able to make his good analytical judgment then bad decision made! Every politician must have a (born nature) preventive skill, I think. At the time he can't focus well, his enemy strike on him! And while everybody still thought that he is capable enough to hold on the "castle", as everybody (included his joining partners) ALREADY used to listen to him, used to follow his instructions til nobody or any other leaders’advices gone “ear-wind”; this time he falls !

Not just he himself got bullied and damned but his party and his coalition – the Pakatan falls down !

PAS had ride on the wrong ship
PAS has nothing wrong with this, the only fault step might be they had just “miss-out” and threw aside good advices at that crucial time.

DAP might just step onto a ghost ship
DAP shall by their own now, looks for another prospectus joining or by all means, row the boat by their own to the dock!

Selangor MP to Defect Soon ! ?

With the Malaysiakini reported that [Kedah's turn to feel defection heat] on yesterday news after the "EXPECTED" Perak 's defection, I have a different point of view.

To make this short, based on my own analysis, the most higest ranked state in defect soon is Selangor, instead of Kedah. :- 1. Reliable source told that the initial formation of Selangor state was the PAS tied up with UMNO instead of PKR-PAS-DAP coalition;

2. The initial and (to be fair) Perak 's MB supposed to be DAP 's ; but no qualified Bumiputra in that party, eventually "force" to hand over to Bumiputra 's lead party;

3. So, come to deal - PAS leader / committee agreed and instructed their Selangor 's state delegates NOT to jump ship but to joint the Pakatan 's coalition in forming Selangor DUN;

4. So, (if) the Selangor state DUN was build fracturality based on this undisclosed deal; and now the Perak 's Pakatan DUN collapsed (or soon to be) , and the dealt void ! So those "tend-to" jump ship PAS 's MP at least for now, "souled OUT" !!

5. Worst still with the PKR 's MP, where most of the time with their total distract immoral attittude which ala UMNO 's (cetak rompak of UMNO), we will see the defection in Selangor soon to come !!

6. I am strongly disagreed with these "grasshopper" / "katak" / "frog" or wat ever fuckanabe they called them, although (in few of yours perception), I'm anti-Anwarism, anti-PKR;

7. No more free water ? ... one of my concern

Faulty report by the Malaysiakini - an Influential Website

With the misleading website - the Malaysiakini to report that

"Internet opinion polls support fresh elections in Perak and the Perak Sultan is being petitioned in cyberspace ..."

this is totally misleading and faulty, at least there is more than 1 netizens (which include me) DO NOT call on the Sultan to do anything which I absolutely believe that the Sultan got his own right to act wisely.

I am totally disagree with those "grasshopper"s who cross-over to other after they been voted ! This is my stand !!

With Uncle Bernard - [the zorro-unmasked] posted an article to plea the Sultan to react smart in a way which pro-Pakatan.., I have no comment on this; but it this sounded that you are directing "your" Sultan to do something in favor to you ?? !!! this sounded weird !!!

I am absolutely DISAGREE too in your "wish" to lead "your" Sultan to read the Malaysiakini. Why? Obviously, this is wasting time !! Malaysiakini, is the proven pro-Anwar 's website which objectively produce articles sounded Pakatan 's supportive in majority !!

This have been a long way to go ..

Malaysiakini, one of the nation most readed news website, had executed their "right to remove such blogsites from the 'MKINI IN BLOGS ' section, where the [ Malaysia party ] blogsite had been removed from its section since this Tuesday, 13th January 2009.

This has been a hard time for me. Depressed, is the only word I can find to expressed my current feeling.

Its seems that fair and fairness is not the role here. There is always rules of game, in which you broken their rules "set", you are out ! They set rules, such as bla..bla.. bla; if you broken their rules sometimes not means that you would totally out of their listed section; unless you have written somethings which sounded in their perception is "Anti-Anwar" !

Just look at others, like ...bla..bla..bla.. (not to give them free advertisement here, actually lazy to browse back) you know, when click into their blogs, what had you seen ? More or less the same where related issue articles copied into posts, more or less the whole articles from other blogs being copied into their posts, more or less and more .. but they did not critisice Anwar. And most of these blogs are pro-Anwarism, obviously. So they got listed !

Since when is the last time we've seen Tun Dr. Mahathir's blogsite - the [Che Det] being listed in their section ? Even you can see its seems that they are purposedly fault linked the Tun 's blogsite -{ Mahathir Mohamad - chedet.com } , this was Tun 's previous blogsite address, and don't tell me that they have forgot to update ! ?

JAN 14 - Jika Barisan Nasional tewas dalam pilihan raya kecil bagi Parlimen Kuala Terengganu, ia bukan sahaja akan menjadi tamparan hebat buat Umno tetapi juga memberi kesan buruk kepada bakal Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Kekalahan BN akan dilihat sebagai kelemahan Najib buat kali kedua selepas gagal memenangkan kerusi Parlimen Permatang Pauh untuk BN dalam PRK pada Ogos tahun lalu.

Lebih buruk kali ini, jika BN kalah, ia bererti tumpas di kubu kuat sendiri kerana kerusi Kuala Terengganu adalah milik Umno sejak 50 tahun lalu (kecuali dalam pilihan raya umum 1999).

Dengan itu, kesan psikologi mendalam akan melukakan Umno yang selama ini masih tercari-cari jalan untuk kembali popular bersama rakyat setelah kehilangan lima negeri dan dinafikan majoriti dua pertiga di parlimen dalam pilihan raya umum Mac tahun lalu.

Walaupun keputusan PRK ini tidak akan mengubah kedudukan kerajaan pusat atau kerajaan negeri, tidak ada sesiapa dari Umno dan BN mahu menanggung malu besar jika kecundang di kubu yang dianggap selamat di Pantai Timur Semenanjung.

Minggu lalu, Ahli Majlis Tertinggi Umno Tan Sri Annuar Musa menjelaskan bahawa PRK ini bukan untuk membentuk kerajaan negeri atau Pusat tetapi untuk menilai pengiktirafan kepada BN.

Harapan Annuar akan berkecai jika pengundi Kuala Terengganu memilih Pas sebagai wakil Pakatan Rakyat untuk dihantar ke Parlimen. Apa yang beliau katakan sebagai penambahbaikan BN akan dianggap ditolak oleh rakyat jika calon Umno Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Salleh gagal mencapai kemenangan.

Pandangan penganalisis setakat ini menunjukkan BN dan Pas mempunyai peluang yang sama walau pun tinjauan di kalangan pengundi Cina – mewakili 11 peratus jumlah pengundi – mendapati kemungkinan mereka beralih kepada Pas.

Inilah yang dibimbangi Najib. Bagi beliau, ia bukan sekadar soal menang kalah BN atau Umno tetapi reputasi beliau sebagai pemulih semangat parti yang belum menunjukkan apa-apa kesan sejak tsunami politik 8 Mac tahun lalu.

Najib telah pun mengingatkan semua pihak bahawa PRK Kuala Terengganu bukan satu pungutan suara atau referendum untuk mengukur populariti BN dan pemimpin-pemimpinnya.

Namun, ramai yang melihatnya sebagai referendum, bukan sahaja terhadap pemimpin-pemimpin Umno dan BN tetapi juga di kalangan Pakatan Rakyat yang diwakili Pas, Parti Keadilan Rakyat dan DAP.

BN yang amat sangat memerlukan kemenangan dalam PRK ini. Jika ia berjaya mempertahankan kerusi, ini akan dijadikan tapak untuk mematahkan semangat Pakatan Rakyat yang semakin meluap dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk PRU akan datang.

Sudah banyak di kalangan Pakatan, terutama Pas dan DAP, untuk melupakan cubaan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim memujuk Ahli-ahli Parliamen BN supaya melompat masuk ke dalam parti-parti komponen Pakatan. Mereka kini lebih berminat untuk mencari jalan mengambil alih kuasa melalui PRU akan datang.

Jika kerusi Kuala Terengganu dimenangi calon Pas Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut, ia akan memberi suntikan semangat baru untuk kepimpinan Pakatan, terutamanya dalam mengembalikan keyakinan pengundi terhadap gabungan mereka.

Tetapi, jika Pas sekali lagi tewas di Kuala Terengganu, ia mungkin dianggap kurang mengejutkan kerana kawasan itu sememangnya kubu kuat Umno.

Namun, walaupun itu akan menjadi alasan Pas jika kalah, ia tetap memberi kesan besar terutama kepada presidennya Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang dan orang kanannya Datuk Mustafa Ali – kedua-duanya adalah orang kuat Pas di Terengganu. Apatah lagi Mohd Abdul Wahid sebagai calon adalah anak didik Mustafa.

Lebih meninggalkan kesan pahit bagi Pakatan Rakyat adalah di peringkat nasional kerana kekalahan Pas akan dilihat sebagai keputusan rakyat menolak gabungan alternatif. Kemeriahan Permatang Pauh akan menjadi suram jika pengundi Kuala Terengganu sekali lagi memilih BN pada Sabtu ini.

Jika Pas kalah dalam PRK, suasana malap akan melanda Pakatan Rakyat. Sebaliknya, jika kemenangan berpihak kepada Umno ia akan dicanangkan melalui media arus perdana yang dikawal pemerintah sebagai petanda bahawa BN kini kembali relevan di kalangan rakyat.

Keadaan sebegini pastinya akan melonjakkan populariti Najib dalam persiapannya untuk mengambil alih pentadbiran kerajaan pusat dari Abdullah pada Mac ini.

Ong, Where is your [dare to fuck, dare to spit] 敢怒敢言 Character all burst up by high Post, ya ? , I would like to share few more points of my view.

Five months ago when the MCA periodic party election, I posted an article 双面乌龟 (translated-"Two Faces Turtle") at ongteekeat.net -

where I strongly disappointed with his gang brought up the sex tape issue again, where this reflected he is a mankind of "said a kind but do another kind" !

The only reason why I felt strongly disappointed is we had a great hope onto him. For many years, he had managed his style of political approach well and given such "fighter for race" image which impressed us. We do hope that he is the one who is able to strongly protect our culture, language, religious; children school system and business environment from being swallowed up by the "Shark" !

But all this hope just burst up when he turned up to be another "Bastard" after he grab his ultimate power in his party and "awarded" a higher seat in the cabinet post.

Hopeless ..! Hopeless ...

How has DAP misled the Chinese voters in Kuala Terengganu when DAP had been consistent on the hudud issue?

It is the MCA which should apologise not only to Chinese voters in Kuala Terengganu and the country but to all Malaysian voters for its inconsistency and hypocrisy in saying one thing but doing another - for instance, in the MCA support for the UMNO declaration started by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on Sept. 29, 2001 that “Malaysia is an Islamic State”!

In the past eight years, the MCA leadership has neither retracted its support for the “929 Declaration” that “Malaysia is an Islamic State” nor demanded that the UMNO leadership retract the “929 Declaration”.

As the MCA leadership has raised the issue of “apology”, DAP challenges MCA to a debate in Kuala Terengganu on “Who should apologise – MCA or DAP?”

Is the MCA President, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Kiat prepared to lead a MCA team to a public debate on this subject in Kuala Terengganu before the by-election on Saturday – whether on Thursday or Friday?

森那美今日突然宣布撤销早前引起激烈反对的收购国家心脏中心计划，然而在瓜登补选正式开打之际做出此项宣布，却不禁令人臆测是否为了避免成为在野党在瓜登补选中攻击的箭靶。

副首相纳吉在12月18日宣布，政府原则上不反对官联公司森那美收购国家心脏中心，引起激烈反弹。反对党纷纷炮轰政府允许国家心脏中心私营化，将加重病黎的负担。不料，事情突然出现180度急转弯，内阁在隔天议决暂时搁置这项私营化计划。

纳吉曾表示，内阁决定搁置国家心脏中心私营化的决定，与下个月举行的瓜拉登嘉楼补选无关。

考虑公众情绪后决定退出

森那美集团主席兼首席执行员阿末祖比尔（Ahmad Zubir Murshid）今日发表文告宣布，在政府决定搁置允许该集团与财政部的谈判，以收购国家心脏中心的51%股份后，该集团考虑到公众的情绪与反应，才做出退出收购计划的决定。

“我们相信心脏护理领域的投资是有必要的，因为这是医院的一项主要病症，同时也是大马死亡的主因之一。”

尊重人民意愿以维持原状

他说，收购国家心脏中心原本可以为该集团、国家心脏中心及股东与公众带来好处，该集团是基于这个理由才向政府献议，与国家心脏中心缔造伙伴关系。

“但是我们集团的股东代表着超过1千万国人，我们必须尊重人民的希望，即要求国家心脏中心维持现状。”

森那美是在去年8月致函政府提出收购献议，以便制造双赢的局面，进一步开拓该集团的医药服务及国家心脏中心。

原本计划设不同医药中心

他说，上述伙伴关系将结合国家心脏中心在心脏与胸廓领域的领导地位与森那美在第三级医疗护理的专家；而该集团原本是计划在国内外设立不同的医药中心，例如癌症与心脏等。

他说，森那美向政府作出收购献议时，完全明了国家心脏中心的角色，即提供卓越与负担得起的医疗服务予退休人士、低收入与贫穷人士。

他继称，这项献议的基础将确保人民不会被排除在第一等医药护理的门外，同时将维持原状，保证贫穷、退休人士与中低收入者将继续享有卓越的医药服务。

他表示，基于上述保证，政府给予森那美的建议亮绿灯，并且对国家心脏中心进行调查与拟出一份全面的商业计划，以便供财政部批准。

他说，他依然对医药领域的发展感到乐观，并且将持续寻找扩展机会，以便让该集团发展成为本区域卓越的医药服务提供者。

Sarawak on red alert as floods force evacuation of 3,773
KUCHING, Jan 11 – A total of 3,773 people from 629 families affected by floods in low-lying areas in the Kuching, Samarahan and Sri Aman divisions were evacuated to 25 relief centres as of 3pm today, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan said today.

Dr Chan, who is also the state disaster relief committee chairman, said one of the affected villages, Kampung Suba Buan in Bau, had been flooded to a depth of 4.5 metres while two houses in Kampung Bidak in Padawan were damaged by a landslide following continuous heavy rain over the last five days.

According to the state Irrigation and Drainage Department, Bau, situated on a bank of the Sungai Sarawak, recorded 370mm of rainfall yesterday, up from 18mm on Tuesday, while Batu Kitang, also on a bank of that river, had 216mm of rainfall yesterday, up from 3mm on Tuesday.

... about 30 flood-hit schools in the Kuching and Samarahan divisions would be asked to close temporarily if the situation warranted it.

Dr Chan advised parents to monitor their children’s activities, especially as the king tide was forecast to rise to 6.1 metres at 5.30pm today and 6.2 metres between tomorrow and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, State Housing Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, who visited Kampung Kudei in his Satok constituency here, said 130 families staying on a bank of the Sungai Sarawak were at risk of being hit by floods.

有鉴于我国在全球裁员潮侵袭之际仍高度依赖外劳，槟州首席部长林冠英今日下令地方政府外包承包商优先聘请本地员工，否则将被列入黑名单，日后无望再标得政府合约。

随着经济成长的放缓，槟州政府除了集中火力招商引资及留住原有的投资者，日前也和另4个民联执政的州属携手合作推动职业再培训计划，以应对下一波的裁员潮。

外劳占据27%劳力市场

林冠英今日对220万名外劳仍占据我国27%劳力市场感到错愕。他质问，在政府想方设法克服裁员课题的同时，为何有关方面仍如此依赖外劳而不努力降低外劳人数。

“这是正式的统计数字，人数已经相当庞大。”

针对此事，他今日在首长办事处宣布，将下令市政局及县署的现有承包商，往后征聘职员时优先录取本地员工，否则将被列入黑名单，无望再标得官方合约。日后的新合约则会加入此项要求，优先聘请本地员工的条款。

“我们接获很多国民无法找到工作的投诉，尤其是来自巫印裔。他们接洽我，当时我却无法作出回应，并对外劳的数据感到惊讶，所以才决定改变此政策。”

促觅职者向人力局登记

此外，他呼吁本地觅职者前往人力资源局登记，以便掌管州人力资源事务的第二副首席部长拉玛沙米可监督承包商是否优先录取已登记的本地员工。

“如果本地人不愿申请或任职，那就另当别论，承包商可雇请外劳。我们也了解，一些人士比较挑剔。”

但是，他举例，若一间公司在竞标时声称花费900令吉聘请一名员工，结果最后只以500令吉的薪金雇用外劳。那意味是在为自身裤袋省下400令吉，却未为本地人提供就业机会。

他受询及时也直言，此政策非为本地员工和外劳设下固打，相反的是全面赋予本地人优先权。

“如果有100名本地人觅职，就必须优先录取这100名人士。槟州政府对此决不妥协，大马人的就业权利必须优先获得保障。”

聘外劳使技术机会流失

林冠英认为，大量地依赖外劳将令政府承担损失，包括技术培训成本。毕竟，外劳习得一身好技术后始终有归国的一天，而不被聘请的本地劳工却未从中受惠。
“我国面临的损失不局限于薪金支付上的金钱层间，也包括了技术和机会的流失。”

根据报道，人力资源部部长苏巴玛廉日前代表大马与印度签署双边劳工流动协议时曾表示，我国有27%的劳力是来自外劳，而政府打算在今年内将之从220万人降低至150万人。

不过，该部秘书长汤姆斯乔治（Thomas Goerge）在去年10月20日却指出，要在2015年才达致有关目标。

人力资源部高级官员阿兹扎（Azizah Ariffin）则指出，虽然外劳在2006年为我国贡献了11.1%的国内生产总值，但是不容忽视的是，他们将约34亿3000万令吉从大马汇至本身的国家。

Pakatan proving to be a viable and capable alternative

JAN 9 — Pakatan Rakyat is now facing its first serious electoral test since its formation. How has it performed so far? While the ride has been bumpy, I believe that any fair yardstick must give Pakatan due credit for holding together and pursuing the agenda its supporters voted for. Pakatan Rakyat remains a viable political coalition, and offers a much stronger alternative to the electorate than its individual component parties did in the general election of March 2008.

The recent general election was actually a bit of an aberration in that for the first time in living memory there was actually a discernible core in all the manifestos of the different opposition parties. All three Pakatan parties have committed themselves to battling racism, reforming our government and improving access to economic opportunities. These were the three main planks of their platforms, and are what the voters of five states and Peninsular Malaysia at the federal level voted for.

Now, it is easy to think that Pakatan might be in danger of falling apart because of personal differences their politicians may have, or even policy differences. But I think we are really holding Pakatan to an unfair standard here. Barisan Nasional does not have a coherent platform to speak of, and its component parties bicker incessantly.

One thing Pakatan has going for it is that all its parties agree on the three problems they see facing the country, and more or less how to solve them. Barisan’s platform is predicated on denying the existence of these problems, and seems to have more of a vague theme running along the lines of “don’t bother switching, you have it so good”. Since before the March elections, and even more ever since then, Barisan parties have openly bickered on important policy issues. Umno says one thing about race, MCA says another; Umno says one thing about religion, MCA says another; Umno and MCA say one thing about the Internal Security Act, Gerakan and PPP say another. Barisan now has nothing to unite itself on except antipathy towards Pakatan, and a ragtag bunch of Pakatan-haters does not a coalition make.

The most pressing issue facing Pakatan at the moment is the struggle over hudud laws. Noted liberal Pas vice-president Husam Musa recently promised Pas supporters that it will continue to press for enactment of hudud laws at the federal level; the DAP has been equally adamant in reassuring its supporters that it will oppose hudud laws. The PKR position remains an enigma, but I imagine in its traditional spirit of compromise that when the issue comes to a vote, it will let its MPs vote freely. At first glance, this lack of Pakatan unity seems troubling.

But the true test of a political coalition is not singleminded ideological coherence; the true test is whether the component parties can give and take enough to govern effectively together. Husam explicitly stated that hudud laws would only be passed if other Pakatan parties consented; this is and always has been the Pas position, since even before the March general election. He did not say that Pas would quit the potential Pakatan government, or withhold support on other key issues if the theoretical hudud Bill failed. Pas is merely saying that it supports hudud laws; it is not saying that it will upset the wishes of the electorate at large by overturning the Pakatan agenda and quitting the coalition if it cannot get its way.

True reason for concern would be Pas talking of quitting Pakatan if the other parties refuse to accept the hudud laws. But this is not the case; Pas respects the right of other Pakatan component parties to differ, and has taken pains to assure everyone that it will not force the hand of its fellow Pakatan partners. To put this in perspective, Britain is governed by one party: Labour. Did Labour have a consensus about sending the young men and women of its armed forces to die in Iraq? Ministers quit the Labour government and numerous MPs voted against the party line in 2003 to voice their opposition. Yet did anyone muse about the possible collapse of the Labour government? No, because it was clear that in spite of their strong differences, the Labour government still had the support of its backbenchers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with individual component parties or even politicians taking different stands on important issues; that is the essence of democracy.

The real test of Pakatan’s staying power will be its viability to govern. Before March 2008, there was little way to tell how a Pakatan government would function — if it would function at all. ...
The occasional mishap under the Pakatan government in Selangor can hardly measure up to the scandals of the previous Barisan Nasional state government; the combined government in Perak has been working surprisingly effectively and efficiently even under a Pas menteri besar; Penang keeps moving forward with little friction, the occasional Umno-provoked demonstration aside. The three most developed states in the country have been governed with remarkably little muss or fuss by Pakatan; it is true that things in the states are far from perfect, but they show no signs of collapse, and they continue to develop and grow regardless of the party in power.

Every indication so far is that Pakatan remains a viable political grouping, with mature leaders willing to work together in spite of their differences to achieve their common ends. Before March 8, not many of us could seriously say we believed the Pakatan parties could hold together and govern; it is clear now that they are capable of doing as much, if not more. If the Malaysian people still hunger for the reforms, the change, the equality of opportunity we have been promised by our politicians from both Pakatan and Barisan, we have every reason now to seriously consider Pakatan a viable and capable alternative government.

Mampukah DAP membantu kemenangan Pakatan Rakyat?

JAN 10 — Hari ini sepatutnya lebih 100 Ahli Parlimen, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri dan pemimpin pusat serta negeri DAP berkumpul di Selangor untuk menghadiri retreat tahunan bagi membincangkan masa depan parti.

Majlis dua hari itu yang telah direncanakan sejak beberapa bulan lalu bagaimanapun terpaksa ditangguhkan kerana ada satu perkara lain yang lebih penting buat DAP, parti politik yang majoriti anggotanya adalah dari kaum Cina.

Yang dianggap penting itu ialah DAP telah menetapkan bahawa ia akan berkempen habis-habisan untuk calon Pas bagi merebut kerusi Parlimen Kuala Terengganu dalam pilihan raya kecil yang akan diadakan pada 17 Januari depan.

Mengapa DAP — yang tidak sebulu dengan Pas dalam soal ideologi dan undang-undang hudud — sibuk-sibuk dengan PRK yang tidak ditandinginya di kawasan di mana hampir 90 peratus pengundi adalah orang Melayu?

Jawapannya adalah dari Setiausaha Agung DAP Lim Guan Eng sendiri: "Walau apa pun anggapan orang, DAP menganggap PRK ini sebagai satu usaha yang amat penting untuk membuktikan iltizam kami kepada Pakatan Rakyat."

Pakatan Rakyat — gabungan longgar di antara Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Pas dan DAP — telah mencatatkan kejutan besar apabila menawan lima negeri dan menafikan majoriti dua pertiga Barisan Nasional dalam pilihan raya umum Mac 8 tahun lalu.

Setelah hampir 10 bulan berlalu, suara-suara sumbang politik mula kedengaran di kalangan kepimpinan Pakatan; apa yang didakwa oleh sesetengah pemimpin BN sebagai retak dalam gabungan pembangkang.

Malah yang turut melibatkan DAP ialah suara Pas yang mengungkit kembali isu pelaksanaan undang-undang hudud, di mana Pengerusi DAP Karpal Singh telah menyergah kenyataan sedemikian yang dianggapnya tidak menghormati prinsip bersama Pakatan Rakyat.

Kalangan pemimpin BN juga mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menggambarkan keretakan hubungan antara parti-parti gabungan Pakatan, khususnya yang ditonjolkan berulang kali melalui media arus perdana yang jelas menyokong BN.

Namun, serangan media sebagaimana yang dilakukan dalam PRK Permatang Pauh pada Ogos tahun lalu yang tidak banyak memberi kesan, tidak begitu dipedulikan oleh kepimpinan Pakatan Rakyat. Malah, di kalangan mereka yang optimis, kemenangan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dalam PRK itu dapat dikembalikan di bumi Terengganu.

Guan Eng sendiri akan bertandang ke Kuala Terengganu esok, bukan sekadar untuk memujuk kira-kira 8,000 pengundi Cina memilih calon Pas tetapi juga beramah mesra dengan pengundi-pengundi Melayu yang sudah mula mengenali Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang itu sebagai seorang pemimpin pelbagai kaum yang berprinsip dan tidak mengamalkan assabiyah.

Populariti Guan Eng di kalangan orang Melayu semakin terserlah apabila beliau menyuarakan iltizam amar makruf nahi mungkar yang menurutnya selaras dengan prinsip Cekap, Akauntabel dan Telus atau CAT yang diamalkan oleh kerajaan negeri Pulau Pinang dan DAP.

Baginya, tidak timbul lagi soal sama ada Pas berideologikan agama kerana menyedari sentimen di kalangan rakyat yang mahukan perubahan adalah mereka yang berpendirian "undilah siapa sahaja asalkan bukan Umno-BN".

"Saya yakin Pas bersama Pakatan Rakyat tetap komited kepada usaha memerangi rasuah dan korupsi. Ini adalah selaras dengan prinsip bersama kita yang mahukan kerajaan yang mesra rakyat, demokratik dan beretika berasaskan prinsip kebebasan, keadilan, kebenaran, kebajikan sosial dan tunduk kepada kehendak moral," katanya.

Di sinilah letaknya pengaruh Guan Eng yang bukan sahaja diyakini oleh kepimpinan DAP untuk menarik undi kaum Cina yang telah menyokong BN pada 8 Mac lalu tetapi juga membawa pengundi Melayu memilih Pas dalam PRK kali ini.

Dengan kehadirannya bersama bapanya veteran DAP Lim Kit Siang yang sememangnya popular di kalangan pengundi Cina serta mengiringi Presiden Pas Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang yang berkempen untuk calon Abdul Wahid Endut, BN sememangnya terpaksa menghadapi kempen hebat Pakatan Rakyat.

Anwar yang telah pun hadir lebih awal lagi dan akan muncul dari semasa ke semasa mengukuhkan lagi jentera pilihan raya Pas. Dan sememangnya telah wujud kemesraan di antara DAP dan Parti Keadilan, setidak-tidaknya di segi pentadbiran negeri-negeri Pakatan serta dalam banyak kempen pilihan raya.

Namun, apakah ini sudah cukup untuk menjamin satu lagi kejutan buat BN?

Beberapa hari awal selepas penamaan calon pada Selasa lalu, kebanyakan pemimpin luar Terengganu dari semua parti banyak membawakan isu-isu nasional; membiarkan calon mereka berbicara soal-soal tempatan.

Menurut sumber-sumber DAP, usaha menarik undi kini sudah dilampiri isu-isu tempatan, terutama apabila mendengar desakan pengundi yang mahukan calon yang ramah dan mudah berjumpa rakyat. Bagi kalangan Pakatan, Abdul Wahid adalah orangnya.

Mesej ini sudah sampai kepada pimpinan DAP yang telah pun menggerakkan jentera ke arah memenuhi cita rasa pengundi, khususnya di kalangan kaum Cina yang merupakan 11 peratus pengundi Kuala Terengganu.

Sama ada keputusan PRK ini akan dianggap sebagai referendum politik negara, ia bukan soal utama buat masa ini. Jika Pakatan menang sekali pun ia tidak membawa apa-apa perubahan besar dalam politik negara.

Namun kesan psikologi PRK ini amat mendalam. Kekalahan BN di negeri di mana ia menang dengan selesa — Terengganu adalah antara segelintir negeri di mana BN telah menambah undi dalam PRU tahun lalu — akan meninggalkan rasa pahit di hati akar umbi Umno dan BN.

Apa yang dibimbangi BN adalah sikap sesetengah pemimpin Umno yang turut menjadi calon untuk pemilihan parti pada bulan Mac depan yang mungkin lebih berminat untuk terus berkempen bagi kemenangan peribadi. Ia telah pun mereka lakukan sewaktu PRK Permatang Pauh.

Setakat ini, BN yang mana kempen PRK Kuala Terengganu diterajui Timbalan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak lebih merasai tekanan untuk mengekalkan kerusi Parlimen ini. Jika keadaan tidak berubah pada minggu depan, kedudukan BN akan semakin tergugat — walaupun wang ringgit mungkin melimpah.

Bagi DAP dan Pakatan Rakyat, ia mungkin menjadi satu bentuk referendum jika kememangan dicapai. Jika tidak, suara-suara pasca kempen akan berkisar soal "meneruskan perjuangan". PRK ini lebih penting buat Pakatan berbanding BN kerana gabungan pembangkang memerlukan satu lompatan untuk mengembalikan semula keyakinan pengundi tsunami politik 8 Mac lalu.

Walau apa pun, PRK Kuala Terengganu lebih menjurus kepada soal maruah dan prinsip. Bagi Guan Eng, perkara itu sudah pun diteliti, dan kerana itu, acara penting tahunan parti boleh ditangguhkan demi membuktikan iltizam dan keikhlasan untuk bersama sahabat dalam Pakatan Rakyat.

指刑事法将影响非穆斯林

回教刑事法课题在民联之间再掀争议，人民公正党实权领袖安华声称回教刑事法只是施加于穆斯林身上，招致民主行动党全国主席卡巴星的反驳，因为回教党所欲推行的回教法将对非穆斯林造成影响。

卡巴星表示，安华的言论与回教党成立回教国的意愿正好相反，因为回教党自创党以来就清楚表明成立回教国的立场，这可从该党前任与现任领导人反映出来。

只施加穆斯林身上是谬论

也是武吉牛汝莪国会议员的卡巴星，引述回教党精神领袖兼吉兰丹州务大臣聂阿兹在去年12月22日的谈话，反驳安华声称回教法只施加于穆斯林身上，是一种谬论。

根据报道，当时聂阿兹表示，他看不出为何国人无法接受回教法，例如涉及不正当性行为者被罚鞭打100下、偷窃者被判截肢及谋杀者被判死刑，因为目前我国法令对于犯下谋杀与贩毒者的刑罚，也是强制性缳首死刑。

聂阿兹也表示，无论行动党与公正党是否支持，回教党都不会放弃推行回教法，因为这是一项宗教义务。他指出，如果行动党反对回教法，回教党也无可奈何，“如果他们能够接受死刑，为何不能够接受回教法？”

沙地回教法影响非穆斯林

卡巴星也是著名的执业律师，他指出，推行回教法的先决条件就是成立一个回教国。

他以沙地阿拉伯为例，当地的回教法是施加于穆斯林与非穆斯林的身上。况且，在沙地阿拉伯犯法的外国人，也曾在回教法下被判鞭笞。

要求哈迪阿旺解释回教法

因此，卡巴星指出，安华有必要去了解，回教党所要成立的回教国的真正意图。

“回教党主席哈迪阿旺或许有必要澄清，一旦回教党成功成立一个回教国，该党要推行的回教法是否会施加于穆斯林与非穆斯林的身上？”

他强调，马来西亚并非一个回教国，因此推行回教法是违反联邦宪法的做法。

马华当权派对蔡细历下封嘴令?

据悉上周首次举行的马华会长理事会已通过一项议决，规定马华各局主任在对外发表任何针对政府的政策，尤其是触及其他国阵成员党部长的文告前，必须先征求会长理事会的同意。

此举被普遍视为是马华当权派，欲针对马华署理总会长兼政府政策监督局主任蔡细历所下的一道“封嘴令”。

蔡细历近期频频以政策监督局主任的身份召开记者会，针对政府的政策进行褒贬，并专注炮打目前由马华副总会长廖中莱所担任部长的卫生部。

蔡细历日前第五度召开记者会时，曾经批评卫生部在宣传骨痛热症的课题上执行不力，并获得行动党国会领袖林吉祥的附和。

蔡细历本身也是前任卫生部长，他是在爆发性爱光碟丑闻后，于去年1月宣布辞去卫生部长的官职及党职。

不过蔡细历却事隔10月后的马华党选中传奇性地卷土重来，成功击败黄家泉赢得署理总会长一职。唯他的关系与赢得马华总会长翁诗杰却陷入低谷，被蔡细历本身喻为“零度温暖”。

蔡细历在出炉的各州联委会名单中名落孙山，仅获受委为政策监督局主任。

担忧被误以为是马华立场

消息透露，马华会长理事会是基于有关的看法或批评，常常会被误以为该党的立场，才会改而采取较为小心翼翼的立场。

此外，会长理事会也促请各局主任，在发表任何触及争议性的课题或政府政策的看法时，须先查清楚真相，甚至进行民意调查，勿贸然作出总结。

禁令属马华历史上第一遭

对于这项突如其来的决定，蔡细历的支持者显然义愤难平，一名局成员就抨击说，类似的禁令在马华历史上可说是第一遭。

“若总会长对其局主任没有信心，那么为何一开始仍委任他（蔡细历）？总会长倒不如直接命令局主任听令于他。”

质疑理事会的开会频密度

蔡派支持者也质疑这项决定的可行性，因为虽然过去马华会长理事会在前任总会长时期频密召开，几乎是每个星期都召开，但自从翁诗杰上任之后，却拖延至本月2日才召开首次的会议。

违敢怒路线重蹈哑巴政治?

另一些党内人士则担忧，此举如同违背翁诗杰上任时信誓旦旦的“敢怒敢言”的路线，形同恢复黄家定时代备受质疑的“哑巴政治文化”。

但是也有赞同者，认同此举旨在遏制蔡细历继续公开对马华部长们，进行含有政治动机的“机会主义式”批评，并非重蹈过去的旧弊端。

巴生车站争议与专栏文章惹祸
行动党下周一定夺邓章钦命运？

在过去2个月闹得沸沸扬扬的巴生车站课题，再次让向来言论出位的雪州议长兼双溪槟榔州议员邓章钦成为媒体焦点。不过，这名4届州议员或因此遭到党的对付，其政治生涯将面对冲击。

巴生车站课题本来只是单纯的地方议题，但由于邓章钦、行动党巴生国会议员查尔斯圣地亚哥，及公正党加埔国会议员马尼卡瓦沙甘，在媒体上公开过招，遂酿成一个全国课题，主流报章更是大肆炒作民联内部的矛盾。

马尼卡及查尔斯是通过媒体喊话，不满邓章钦批评他们在反对巴生巴士车站搬迁到中路的事件上，行为有如一名反对党党员和撒谎者。

查尔斯曾公开挑战邓章钦出示证据，显示他已经遭国阵收买；而马尼卡更直指邓章钦，是新巴士车站发展商的法律顾问，间中存有隐藏利益。

至于邓章钦则出示巴生市议会有关北区巴士总站搬迁和塞车汇报会会议纪录，炮轰两人在市议会会议里头没反对，只在会议外反对车站搬迁，形同说谎和不诚实，并认为两人的举止已令民联蒙羞。

作为抗议，一度酝酿退党的马尼卡（左图）已辞去公正党雪州署理主席职。查尔斯则促请邓章钦自行卸下雪州能力、公信力及透明特选委员会主席职，并要求邓章钦公开道歉。

此外，查尔斯也打算致函行动党纪律委员会，对邓章钦的言论提出投诉。

邓章钦支持者不满双重标准

有鉴于此，邓章钦的政治生涯，可能将在下周一举行的中央执行委员会会议上，面对严峻的考验。

这名特立独行的资深从政者，与党内强人林吉祥和其儿子——秘书长林冠英不咬弦，早已不是新鲜事。他之前也曾公开批评党领袖，掀起数次类似的争议，但在公众舆论的支持下，却每次皆能逃过一劫，没被党对付。

不过，若周一的中央执行委员会会议，议决把邓章钦交由纪律委员会处理，那么他的政治生涯便将出现危机，甚至连党籍也可能被冻结。

当然，若此事成真，肯定会掀起热烈的舆论，因为这是大马史上首名州议会议长，面临党纪律处分。

据悉，邓章钦的支持者也为此而感到忿忿不平，批评党在此事采取双重标准，只瞄准他一人，放任另外两名议员，继续在外向媒体放话。况且邓章钦也根本没有如其他人般，公然违背雪州民联政府的决策。

《我的领袖》文章掀起争议

据了解，邓章钦早前便已因在《东方日报》发表一篇名为《我的领袖》的专栏文章，被指讥刺党内领袖，而遭中央执行委员会的谴责。

该篇文章刊登在去年11月7日的《东方日报》，被指影射党内“神化”一些领袖的现象。

最具争议性的是，邓章钦在文章末端的文字：“我的领袖，你真是一条好狗，不愧让我给你取个好名字”。

消息指出，行动党中央执行委员会是在11月份的某次会议上，通过议决案谴责邓章钦，作为发表该篇文章的惩罚。

消息告诉《当今大马》，邓章钦当时因有要事在身，而缺席有关会议，但却在下一次的中委会会议中，翻查会议记录时，才赫然发现本身被谴责一事。

消息指出，邓章钦发现此事后，即场在会议上质问，为何他会遭到谴责。

辩称仅文学性描述政坛现象

消息说，邓氏当时辩称，该篇文章并没针对任何人，反之只是在描述政坛上的一个概况和现象，属于“文学性及哲学性”的手法。

“邓章钦当时还表示，如果要对号入座的话，该篇文章其实可说是具有每一个人的影子。”

不过，消息强调，当日的中委会仅是“斥责”（rebuke）邓章钦，并没向他发出“黄卡”或警告。

邓章钦：我准备面对一切

针对可能遭党对付的传言，邓章钦今午接受《当今大马》访问时，只简短地表示不知情，惟他强调将出席周一的中央执行委员会会议，而且做好心理准备面对一切。

“对付就对付吧，作领袖就要敢担当，没有担当就不要做领袖。我们要为全民利益着想，不是单考虑个人政治前途。”

询及是否将在会前“特别准备”时，他直截了当地说：“不需要，我对于全部事情都非常熟悉，了如指掌。”

另一方面，查尔斯（右图）告诉《当今大马》，本身仍在准备该封投诉邓章钦的信函，因为他需时翻译邓氏在中文媒体上发表的言论。

不过他强调，这么做只是要还本身一个清白，毕竟该番诽谤性谈话，已让他的诚信遭到质疑。

他举例，本身有次与家人共进晚餐时，突遭一些人走过来询问，是否已被国阵收买。

他对邓章钦会否遭到纪律对付的传闻，表示丝毫不知情。

“我不属于任何派系，我的目的很明显，即干回自己的工作。人们选中了我，我就得为他们提供更透明和更多参与度的地方事务资讯”

“我只不过是要求公开巴生车站特许经营权的详情，尽管有一些不同的意见，仍应该就事论事。”

槟州五所独中百万拨款机制出炉
六成平分，四成供菩提槟华发展

在去年11月州议会中首开先河将半津贴学拨款制度化列入财政预算案后，槟州政府今日正式公布了独中100万令吉拨款的分配机制，即60%平分及40%分配给正需建设发展的菩提及槟华独中。

首席部长林冠英去年在提呈308政治海啸后的首份财政预算中，曾列出两项社会计划，其中包括为州内172所半津贴学校拨出850万令吉。

根据当时的安排，150万令吉将给州内15所人民宗教学校、450万令吉给124所华文中小学及教会学校、150万令吉给淡米尔文小学及100万令吉给私立中学（独中）。

目前，槟州共有5所华文独立中学，即钟灵、韩江、菩提、槟华及日新独中。

槟华教协调委会提两方案

过后，槟州政府华教协调委员会曾针对100万令吉的独中拨款，提出了两种分配方案供州政府参考。

第一种方案是由州内5所独中平分，即每校获得20万令吉，除了方便行政工作及不必设下先决分配条件外，也避免小型独中担心所获得拨款数额不如大型独中的问题。

第二种方案是部分拨款由5校平均分享，部分拨款则根据各校的需求而拨出。经过与各方商讨和考虑后，州政府最后决定接纳槟州政府华教协调委员会主席章瑛国会议员认同及建议的第二种方案，即60对40的分配。

因此，州政府决定将60万令吉平分，另外40万令吉则分配给两所比较小型的菩提和槟华独中作为建设发展，菩提额外获得32万令吉，槟华额外获8万令吉。

换言之，州内三所设备比较健全的日新、韩江和钟灵独中各获12万令吉，槟华独中20万令吉，菩提获得44万令吉。

章瑛：协助小独中冀谅解

章瑛今日在记者会上指出，原本也曾有建议以学生的人数平分拨款，但是较具规模的独中认为，要照顾小型独中而未采纳此方案。

“菩提国中今年迁往新校址，董事部决定提升独中校舍设备及招收更多新生。基于菩提独中不如韩江和钟灵拥有强大的校友会支援，也没有如日新独中有福德正神理事会援助，我们决定基于情况的需要特别对待菩提，在此历史性的时刻给予特别资助。”

“槟华独中另获得8万令吉的建设发展金则是因为董事部正打算提升家政课和电脑设备。我们已尝试聆听各方意见，但无法一一采纳，希望另外3间已上轨道的独中会谅解。”

呈财务报告纯属行政要求

此外，林冠英也要求5所独中提呈去年的财务报告，以及在今年杪交代拨款的用途。无论如何，章瑛解释，那纯属行政上的要求。

过后林冠英被询及时表示，人民宗教学校的拨款机制正由第一副首席部长莫哈末法鲁斯及阿都马列行政议员拟定、淡米尔文小学由第二副首席部长拉玛沙米负责，而华文中小学及教会学校则仍然由章瑛处理。槟州政府在日后才将陆续作出宣布。

批在野党领袖鸡蛋挑骨头

针对在野党领袖阿查哈(Azhar Ibrahim)质疑，州政府当初是根据什么标准来拟定预算案中的学校拨款数额，林冠英为政府拨出较大笔款项给独中的做法辩护。

他说，独中长期被政府忽略而必须自力更生，如今州政府欲给予肯定，因此款项的多少并不成问题。

“阿查哈是无中生有，鸡蛋里挑骨头，我们没必要回应一些不负责任份子的芝麻绿豆言论。”

他进一步解释，人民宗教学校以往都获得州和中央政府的拨款，阿查哈也了解此点。可是，当州政府希望能民主化教育，有教无类之际，对方却尝试政治化此课题。

“类似阿末依斯迈尔（Ahmad Ismail）的思想要不得，你也（指记者）别跌入陷阱，尽信他的言论。”

由于当时只有中文报记者受邀出席采访，林冠英受询及解释说，那主要是因为非中文报对此课题不感兴趣，所以未发出通知劳烦他们采访,浪费时间。但是，他过后在下一场记者会开始前，也不忘先向其他源流媒体解释未邀请采访的原因。

SU Umno PJS: Ketua 'cawangan hantu' sertai PAS

Pemimpin Umno cawangan yang mengikut langkah bekas ketua bahagian Petaling Jaya Selatan, Datuk Zahar Hashim minggu lalu didakwa datang daripada "cawangan hantu".

Setiausaha bahagian itu Mohamad Yahya Sudin mendedahkan, cawangan-cawangan berkenaan hanya wujud menjelang mesyuarat agung tahunan Umno sahaja.

Susulan itu, tambahnya, Umno bahagian itu masih kuat dan berfungsi seperti biasa walaupun tanpa bekas ketuanya itu yang menyertai PAS pada 24 Disember lalu.

Menurutnya lagi, angka sebenar ketua-ketua cawangan Umno yang melompat parti dikenal pasti dalam mesyuarat khas malam tadi di sebuah hotel di Petaling Jaya.

Dipengerusikan timbalan ketua bahagian itu Datuk Raja Hapipudin Raja Nong Chik, mesyuarat tersebut membincangkan usaha memantapkan Umno Petaling Jaya Selatan selepas menerima tamparan hebat akibat tindakan mengejut Zahar.

Bekas kapten bersara itu - yang mendedahkan isu pembelian helikopter Eurocopter – mendakwa 28 ketua cawangan dan 13 ahli jawatankuasa (AJK) bahagian mengikut jejak langkahnya.

Tidak menolak jumlah ketua cawangan tersebut yang berbuat demikian, Yahya berkata sebahagiannya bukan cawangan yang sah atau "cawangan hantu."

Beliau bagaimanapun menjelaskan hanya tujuh daripada 39 AJK bahagian itu yang meninggalkan Umno, bukan 13 orang seperti yang didakwa.

"Itu pun ahli jawatankuasa yang dilantik, bukan dipilih," tambahnya.

Yahya berkata, daripada tujuh AJK itu pula, empat daripadanya merupakan “orang Zahar” yang menguruskan pejabat Umno bahagian dan dibayar gaji oleh bekas ketua itu.

Umno Petaling Jaya Selatan mempunyai 39 AJK – 20 dipilih, sepuluh dilantik dan sembilan lagi mewakili sayap-sayap Pemuda, Wanita dan Puteri.

Bahagian itu juga mempunyai lebih 100 cawangan dengan jumlah keanggotaan lebih kurang 20,000 orang.

Pakatan Rakyat woes

JAN 2 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim knew it. He knew that once the excitement of pushing Barisan Nasional all the way on March 8 was replaced by greed, personal interest, petty politics, narrow political ideology and race issues, he would have a battle keeping the dream of a two party system alive.

That is why he huffed and puffed and talked up the possibilities of a mass crossover of elected representatives from the Barisan Nasional to Pakatan Rakyat from the word go. There was an element of self interest, sure. After spending six years in prison, having his reputation pockmarked by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and written off as a historical footnote, nothing would have satisfied him more than being sworn is as the prime minister of Malaysia.

But it was not all about satisfying one man’s ambition. He knew that the euphoria which accompanied the Opposition’s super showing in Election 2008 could not be maintained indefinitely. At some point, the heady mix of social activists, educationists, career politicians, professionals that made up Pakatan Rakyat would clash, the result of inexperience in governing; unrealistic expectations and differences in ideology.

Truth be told, this mixed constituency was a major plus point for the coalition during the election. They allowed Pakatan Rakyat to reach out to a wider spectrum of voters than the Barisan Nasional and allowed Pakatan Rakyat candidates to speak more convincingly on an important raft of issues, from corruption to the rights of Indians.

But Anwar knew that it would only be a matter of time before the hardliners in Pas lifted the lid on their pet topic — hudud and the Islamic state. This conservative spine of the party reluctantly agreed to put their main platform on the backburner in the run up to the polls. With elections over and Pas in a strong position, it was going to be more challenging persuading Pas leaders to keep their calling card buried. Once hudud was raised again, DAP’s veteran politicians would strike back. This scenario is being played out right now following comments made by Pas’ Husam Musa during a debate with Umno’s Khairy Jamaluddin.

Anwar also understood one fact of political life in Malaysia — race is never far from the surface. What more when it is wrapped up in unrealistic expectations. The Malays, Chinese and Indians in Pakatan Rakyat were willing to speak the language of accommodation and unity in the run up to the polls. They had to be on the same wavelength to be taken seriously as an alternative to Barisan Nasional.

Ironically, the strong showing on March 8 led some Pakatan Rakyat MPs to believe that the role of their communities — and not the common platform or the excesses of BN — was pivotal in their electoral success. As a result, they pushed for positions and contracts, and sought instant remedies, some of which had been promised to them before the elections.

PKR’s S. Manikavasagam said as much when he criticised the party’s leadership. He alleged that PKR was a Malay-centric party, lamenting that Indians had not been offered senior positions in government-linked companies, state agencies and local councils.

“We feel cheated, we are disappointed. Nothing has been done, ‘’ he said, accusing Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim of not keeping promises made to the Indian community.

He is not the only one feeling aggrieved. Some Malay politicians in Pakatan Rakyat are uneasy over the demands being made by the Indians and the uncompromising stance by DAP’s veteran leaders on several issues.

Is Anwar surprised by these troubles? Hardly. He knew that many of his political comrades came together because of their intense hatred for BN and what it stands for. Once that anger dissipated, it was always going to be a challenge keeping everyone focused on the big goal — staying as one and keeping the two-party dream alive.

First MCA presidential council meeting today amid Tee Keat-Soi Lek spat

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 — The MCA will have its first presidential council meeting since party polls last October as the rift between the party's top two leaders threatens to split the beleaguered Barisan Nasional component member again.

When the previous party leadership chose to retire following the MCA's poor showing in last March's general election, it was suppose to pave the way for major reforms and reconcile rival factions.

But since party delegates voted in Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat as president and Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek as his deputy, it has created a new rivalry and caused a major split in the party.

The top two leaders have not even met each other since attending the new central committee meeting in November.

The two leaders have, however, been having a very public spat with each other, and today's presidential council meeting is set to be fiery.

By convention, the presidential council is usually formed soon after the first central committee meeting, which itself took a longer-than-usual three weeks to be called.

Under previous leaderships, the presidential council usually met weekly before Cabinet meetings so as to make a clear and concerted party stand on issues.

The council is made up of the president, his deputy, the vice-presidents and other central committee members chosen by him.

But even members of the central committee told The Malaysian Insider that they had no idea who has actually been appointed.

While none of these things are in breach of the party constitution or regulations, they have gone against the grain and members are confused as to why Tee Keat has done things contrary to tradition.

The lack of direction from the leadership, along with what is now appearing to be an all-out war between the top two has left members low on morale and uncertain over the party's future.

Tee Keat and Dr Chua had agreed to set aside differences in a cordial meeting soon after the elections, but there has been little follow through on that.

The president's decision not to appoint Dr Chua as disciplinary chief or liaison chief for any state coincided with a public spat over whether the president would recommend a return to the Cabinet for his deputy.

Dr Chua had resigned as Health Minister after being exposed in a sex scandal last January.

A year on from that, Dr Chua is still in the limelight on the back of his involvement in the roiling debate over Ketuanan Melayu, or Malay Supremacy, and most recently clarifying that he had technically not resigned as MP for Labis despite promising to do so, as in his muddled state of mind, he neglected to send a letter to the Dewan Rakyat Speaker.

The recently established MCA Integrity Watch Group has called on him to resign again from his post, saying that he lied to the then MCA president, the prime minister and the public.

Earlier, it also called him a "disgrace and liability to the party since we members cannot even mention that we are from MCA without inviting a snigger from others," over his insistence on making a political comeback despite the sex scandal.

The legal bureau of Selangor MCA has also followed suit, criticising his lack of integrity.

With Tee Keat having a strong power base in the state, it is understood that he is trying to slow down Dr Chua's momentum via proxy groups.

"The watch group said it would not dwell on past issues, so why did it criticise Dr Chua over the scandal? If anything, Ong's recent press conference on the RM4.6 billion Port Klang Free Zone debacle left many questions unanswered," one grassroots leader told The Malaysian Insider.

On the other hand, Tee Keat has been low-key as his duties as Transport Minister has seen him jetsetting from one country to another.

Some members have noticed that Dr Chua has been the one taking up issues.

"As bureau chief of government policy monitoring, he has brought up more issues than the president has," a divisional leader said.

There is also general bemusement that when Tee Keat was elected president, he talked about change and work starting immediately.

But if anything, the pace of progress has been slow, and the phrase "I do not know what is going on" is often repeated among the grassroots.

The spat between Tee Keat and Dr Chua is reminiscent of the feud between then president Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik and his deputy Tan Sri Lim Ah Lek which led to both being made to resign in 2003 as part of a "peace plan" formulated by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

From the pool of four vice-presidents, the double resignation led to Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting and Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy replacing the duo ahead of the more senior Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn and Datuk Chua Jui Meng.

Ka Ting and Chan also did not see eye-to-eye on matters and similarly both stepped down at this year's party polls after the poor showing in the March 8 general election.

While having a confrontational top two is not new to the party, MCA is now at a crossroads after March 8 and the Chinese clearly supporting the opposition parties.

Unsurprisingly, when asked what the future holds for the party if things continue along these lines, members were not optimistic.

Finished, irrelevant, tah pao or bungkus (Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia slang meaning to fold and dissolve) or becoming the next Gerakan — a fellow Chinese-majority BN component that was nearly wiped out on March 8 — were the replies.

Pengurus Hal Ehwal Korporat K Jeyabalan berkata RM100 itu dikreditkan dalam empat bayaran sebanyak RM25 bagi setiap bil bermula 15 Nov, lapor Bernama.

"Sebanyak 143,197 pengguna layak menerima RM3.58 juta dalam bayaran ansuran pertama," katanya dalam satu kenyataan.

Beliau berkata 14,000 permohonan lain masih dinilai dan akan siap pada akhir bulan depan.

Katanya, semua pengguna yang tinggal di rumah kos rendah dan kos sederhana rendah serta keluarga yang menerima bantuan kebajikan dan kumpulan di bawah kategori miskin tegar akan secara automatik menerima bantuan kewangan ini.

"Keluarga yang mempunyai pendapatan isi rumah di bawah RM1,500 sebulan layak menerima bantuan kewangan ini dan hendaklah memohon melalui borang yang diedarkan oleh pembaca meter PBAPP," tambahnya.

Penang may see a different Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng come 2009.

The Pakatan Rakyat leader aims to control his sharp tongue and inject more diplomacy into his dealings with the federal government.

"I do not want to start the new year by criticising anyone, especially the federal government," he told journalists at his final press conference for 2008 in his office in Georgetown today.

Lim expressed hopes that he would be able to refrain from lashing out at his political adversaries, and adopt a more tactful approach in tackling political and administrative issues in the new year.

Since assuming power after the March 8 general election, Lim has several run-ins with the federal government, notably on Putrajaya’s lukewarm attitude in providing financial assistance to the opposition-held state.

The chief minister also expressed hopes for a change of in his management style - from being abrasive and hard-hitting to being milder and more composed.

Confident of hitting RM10 bil investment target

Meanwhile, in his statement to welcome the new year, Lim said he was “a little” confident in meeting the RM10 billion investment target this year, having already secured RM9.5 billion in both domestic and foreign investments between January and October.

However, he is more pessimistic about the future, pointing out that the current global economic downturn would dampen Penang hopes to increase investments in the state.

"I don't think next year would see high investment flow into Penang," said Lim.

Because of this, his Pakatan government has embarked on a plan to introduce new tourism products and events to boost the tourism industry in order to off set the expected decrease in investments in other sectors.

"The tourism sector would play a crucial role in Penang's growth in coming years in creating new business and employment opportunities," he said.
The service sector contributed 57 percent of the state gross domestic product (GDP) while the manufacturing sector made up 40 percent in 2007.

On manufacturing, the second biggest contributor to the state economy, he said Penang would focus on increasing investments on high technology, bio-technology and halal hub industries.

He said the state government and Penangites should procure the necessary knowledge, information and facilities to be ready to capitalise on the post-crisis upturn.

Met with Unesco on heritage status

On Georgetown heritage status, Lim said he had met one of the two Unesco representatives who visited the city last week to get first-hand information on the four controversial high-rise hotel projects in the heritage zones.

Declining to reveal on what had transpired between the state government and the Unesco delegation, Lim nonetheless hinted that the world body may make some recommendations to his government regarding the projects.

However, Lim declined further comment on his meeting, citing a press embargo by Unesco on the issue.

The four hotels, all of which have been approved by the state government, would be too tall under Unesco's rules for world heritage listing.

Lim had earlier said his government was in a bind as the state could not afford to face legal action over cancelling the buildings which exceed Unesco's 15-metre maximum height limit.

He said three of the buildings were approved by the previous state government, and the fourth was approved before heritage status was granted in July.

The chief minister also said he was happy with the way his nine-month-old government had carried out its duties, but conceded that both executive councillors and assemblypersons would have to do more to meet the expectations of the people.

"We must set ourselves in the right direction to achieve this," he said, wishing all Malaysians a Happy New Year.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi kesal kerana harga barangan masih tinggi walaupun harga petrol turun tujuh kali sejak Ogos lepas, malah lebih rendah daripada harga sebelum ia dinaikkan pada Jun.

"Saya sekali lagi menyeru semua pengeluar, pengilang, pengedar dan peniaga barangan agar bertimbang rasa dan prihatin terhadap keperitan rakyat dan sama-sama menurunkan harga barangan demi kesejahteraan mereka," kata perdana menteri dalam amanat tahun baru 2009 yang disiarkan malam ini.

Beliau menambah, kerajaan telah melaksanakan pelbagai langkah untuk memelihara kesejahteraan rakyat dan ekonomi negara, termasuk memberi bantuan seperti bayaran rebat kenderaan dan subsidi beras untuk meringankan kesusahan rakyat.

"Apabila harga minyak dunia turun, faedah daripadanya terus disalurkan kepada rakyat," katanya, lapor agensi berita Bernama.

Abdullah juga berkata walaupun krisis ekonomi dunia diramalkan cukup mencabar pada 2009, kerajaan berazam mengambil langkah berkesan untuk memelihara kekuatan ekonomi negara dan melindungi kepentingan rakyat.

Abdullah berkata Malaysia mempunyai beberapa kelebihan yang dapat membantu menghadapi keadaan dengan lebih berkesan daripada banyak negara lain.

"Sektor kewangan kita adalah kukuh, tidak seperti waktu krisis kewangan satu dekad yang lalu.

"Rizab kewangan negara berada pada paras yang tertinggi dalam sejarah kita, iaitu 37 peratus berbanding jumlah Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar (KDNK).

"Institusi kewangan kita mempunyai modal yang kukuh dan dikawal selia secara berhemah. Ekonomi negara kita bersifat pelbagai dan tidak bergantung kepada satu sektor tertentu semata-mata," perdana menteri dipetik berkata.

Katanya lagi, segala usaha akan diambil untuk merancakkan kegiatan ekonomi dengan menggembleng secara bijak sumber-sumber yang ada dan memberi penekanan kepada sumber dalaman iaitu pelaburan sektor awam dan swasta tempatan.

"Kerajaan telah menyuntik dana tambahan RM7 bilion dalam bentuk rangsangan agar ekonomi tidak akan mengalami kemelesetan, sebaliknya berupaya untuk terus berkembang," katanya.

Kerajaan juga akan memberi perhatian kepada projek berimpak tinggi yang mampu menjana pertumbuhan ekonomi dan meningkatkan daya tahan negara seperti pembinaan lebih banyak rumah kos rendah, pemuliharaan dan baik pulih kemudahan awam dan peningkatan mutu perkhidmatan pengangkutan awam, kata Perdana Menteri.

Abdullah berkata jika perlu, kerajaan akan mengambil langkah-langkah tambahan bagi memastikan ekonomi tetap berkembang dan permintaan dan penggunaan domestik terus meningkat.

Katanya kemampuan negara menghadapi cabaran tidak bergantung kepada keupayaan dan langkah-langkah dalam bidang ekonomi sahaja tetapi keutuhan dan integriti institusi negara, pentadbiran yang bersih dan cekap serta sistem kehakiman yang berwibawa amat penting untuk menjamin pengurusan ekonomi dan sosial yang baik dan mampu menarik keyakinan pelabur.

"Sehubungan ini, saya bersyukur kita telah mencapai kemajuan besar dengan kelulusan Rang Undang-undang Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia dan Rang Undang-undang Suruhanjaya Pelantikan Kehakiman oleh Parlimen baru-baru ini," katanya.

Beliau berkata langkah seperti itu penting untuk menjamin hak masyarakat terpelihara secara adil dan saksama terutamanya mereka yang kurang berupaya untuk mempertahankan hak mereka.

"Saya yakin dan percaya bahawa dengan niat suci dan semangat gigih, tiada gunung yang terlalu tinggi untuk kita daki dan tiada laut yang terlalu dalam untuk kita selami," kata Abdullah.

Rahim layak tanding naib presiden

Bekas Ketua Menteri Melaka, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik mendapat pencalonan ke-20 hari ini untuk layak bertanding jawatan naib presiden Umno Mac depan.

Beliau yang juga ahli Majlis Tertinggi (MT) Umno, mendapat pencalonan tersebut dari Umno bahagian Seremban yang bermesyuarat hari ini.

Ini bermakna, sembilan calon layak bertanding jawatan tersebut. Lapan calon lain yang sudah layak sebelum ini ialah Datuk Hishammuddin Husein yang mendapat (142 pencalonan), Datuk
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (103), Datuk Khaled Nordin (79), Datuk Shafie Apdal (78), Datuk Syed Hamid Albar (30),Tan sri Mohd Isa Samad (26), Datuk Jamaluddin Jarjis (25) dan Datuk Rais Yatim (25).

Selain Rahim, Umno Seremban turut mencalonkan Isa dan Rais untuk jawatan naib presiden.

Manakala bahagian tersebut mencalonkan Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin untuk jawatan timbalan presiden.

Rahim merupakan pengerusi Risda. Beliau dilahirkan di Pengkalan Balak, dekat Masjid Tanah di Melaka dan lulusan ijazah ekonomi gunaan dari Universiti Malaya.

Ketika menjadi ketua menteri dari 1982 hingga 1994, bekas ketua Pemuda Umno itu menjadikan Melaka sebuah negeri yang kuku di segi ekonominya.

Beliau berkahwin dengan Puan Sri Zabedah Abdullah dan dikurniakan empat orangg anak.

Rahim meletak jawatan ketua menteri dan ketua Pemuda Umno pada 1992 ekoran dakwaan skandal seks yang membabitkan gadis di bawah umur.

Beliau menafikan dakwaan tersebut dan Peguam Negara ketika itu, Tan Sri Moktar Abdullah kemudiannya mengumumkan "tidak cukup bukti" untuk mendakwa Rahim.

It is easy to understand why a number of politicians in Pakatan Rakyat are being torn asunder by the relocation of the Klang bus station.

The Pakatan-controlled Selangor government has last Saturday ordered all city transit operations be moved from the old Klang bus station - which is in the town centre - to a newly-constructed bus station seven kilometres away.

Not surprisingly, Klang residents are up in arms - Klang Sentral in Jalan Meru, the new station, is located in the outskirts of the city.

A well-known unknown

JAN 2 — Only those who live outside Terengganu will say Pas’s Abdul Wahid Endut is an unknown.

The people of Kuala Terengganu are especially familiar with this five-term state assemblyman — who's only 52 years old — and who has been making a name for himself in the state since the late 1980s.

During the opposition's first serious attempt to unseat the Barisan Nasional in 1990, he contested and won the Wakaf Mempelam state seat, and has retained it till today.

As a first-time contender in 1990, Abdul Wahid was the Pas candidate during the time when former Umno leaders formed Semangat 46 to work together with Pas and DAP to topple (Tun) Dr Mahathir Mohamad's BN. Although the attempt only managed to secure Kelantan and failed nationally, it gave people hope that BN could be seriously challenged.

Almost a decade later, after Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was sacked from the government and subsequently jailed following his Reformasi movement, Abdul Wahid again secured his seat although there was no nationwide political tsunami.

The Reformasi-era elections in 1999 however rewarded Pas with Terengganu, and Abdul Wahid, a fisheries and marine science graduate, who was then a three-term assemblyman, was appointed a state exco member.

Although Pas failed to repeat its success in 2004, Abdul Wahid once again retained his seat. He did it again in the March 8 general election last year, defending his state seat comfortably.

It seems that the choice of Abdul Wahid for the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat is based on his winnability factor. He is seen as the best choice against BN's Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, 46, who is also a well-known figure in the constituency.

With Pas controlling three of the four state seats in the parliamentary constituency, and losing the Kuala Terengganu seat some 10 months ago with a small majority, the Islamist party has a good chance of wresting the seat from BN — at least on paper.

The choice of Abdul Wahid, currently the state Pas treasurer, as the candidate is also another indication that Pas is serious about winning, despite earlier talk about the possibility of the party giving it away to Umno-BN.

What happened last year was that Pas's secret talks with Umno after the general election, in what many saw as an attempt by Umno to bring Pas to its side, were exposed in the media. It sent a distressing signal to Pas's partners in Pakatan Rakyat — DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

Many Pakatan supporters could not believe that Pas would rather be with its sworn enemy. When Pas veteran Datuk Mustafa Ali was identified as the culprit, it caused a crack within the federal opposition; even among Pas leaders and members.

Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang however repeatedly expressed the party's commitment to Pakatan Rakyat. Although this did not really allay fears among Pakatan leaders, it's the only assurance PKR and DAP leaders can hold on to.

Abdul Wahid is known as Mustafa's protégé and this does not bode well with those who doubt the Pas veteran's current political agenda.

However, with the strong emphasis on the need to win the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary constituency, it can be expected that the Pas leadership will eventually manage to convince their Pakatan partners of their loyalty.

The recent fear that Mustafa, who has a strong grip on the party in Terengganu, would try to throw away the by-election now seems a bit ridiculous.

It is also expected that opposition leader Anwar will campaign in this by-election while DAP will send some top guns to help out too, especially in wooing 11 per cent of the voters — the Chinese — in the constituency.

When Pas lost the seat in the last general election, some people claimed that it was due to the fact that candidate Mohamed Sabu — a Penang-born political journeyman who had served in Kelantan and Kedah — was an outsider.

This time Terengganu Pas is banking on its local boy to make a difference.

With the help of Pakatan partners as well as their two assemblymen — Dr Syed Azman Syed Ahmad Nawawi of Batu Burok and Tengku Datuk Hassan Tengku Omar of Ladang — Abdul Wahid can expect to give his rival Wan Ahmad Farid a run for the money.

Of course, there will be a lot of political gossip about disunity within Terengganu Pas over the choice of Abdul Wahid but the state Umno too has its share of similar problems.

EPU calls for meeting. Despite public uproar and stakeholders' objection, the outgoing Abdullah Administration seems bent on forcing through a proposal by a desperate Sime Darby to take over IJN, the National Heart Institute set up in 1992.

Just a week after the Cabinet announced that it was deferring a decision on the matter, the Economic Planning Unit in the PM's Department has called for a meeting between Sime Darby and IJN. The meeting is scheduled for 2.30 pm on Monday.

The media have not been formally informed of the meeting but anti-takeover blogs are saying that it's an attempt to push the deal through before March when Abdullah is due to hand over the premiership to Najib Razak.

Pak Lah's "midnight regulations". I was looking for a term to describe a takeover attempt done in such haste and in the middle of a leadership change, too. Someone suggested that I look up under "midnight regulations".

Outgoing President Bush, for example, is trying to push 90 midnight regulations to ensure his legacy, according to one source.

Abdullah is already rushing several legislation, including the Judicial Apppointments Commission, in Parliament to secure his legacy. The IJN takeover can be seen in the same vein. The RM1.7 billion LCCT airport in Labu was never part of the country's airport masterplan but was approved by the Cabinet for Air Asia and, yes, Sime Darby to develop. Watch closely now, there'll be more midnight approvals and midnight projects before someone calls it a day.

在瓜登国席补选前夕，民联内部却突然因为回教党副主席的一席执政后落实回教刑事法言论而闹分歧。

民主行动党全国主席卡巴星今日措辞强烈地警告回教党，要知道行动党的忍耐度有限，该党更需知道本身的界限在哪。

他表示，尽管行动党仍会为回教党的补选候选人助选，惟助选的热忱肯定已受到影响。

他也再次促请人民公正党实权领袖安华，必须打破沉默，挺身表明立场，因为此事已关乎公众利益。

声称回教党公信力受损

被称为“日落洞之虎”的卡巴星，显然对回教党副主席胡桑慕沙的回教刑事法言论，仍未释怀，不断“提醒”回教党在行事前，必须顾及民联盟党的共识。

“我希望他们往后可以更加小心，我相信回教党的公信力已因胡桑慕沙的言论，受到影响。”

“最重要的是公正党实权领袖（安华）必须表明立场，打破沉默，他不能再保持安静。”

“行动党已经开腔，因为这是一个关系公众利益的课题。如今已是时候让行动党促请回教党，他们的行事有个界限，而我们的忍耐度也有个限度。”

重申1999年落败经验

卡巴星也引述替阵在1999年的大选成绩，提醒回教党勿忘历史教训。

他说，替阵在1999年发布的联合竞选宣言中，内容并不包括成立一个回教国，惟回教党却在选举两天前单方面宣布，一旦夺下登嘉楼州，就要在登州成立回教州。

“这造成了我们的候选人，在自己的堡垒区落马，包括（行动党顾问）林吉祥和我自己都落败。”

“阿巴斯可为回教党上课”

卡巴星表示，曾担任回教党登州行政议员的前最高法院院长沙烈阿巴斯，曾在一宗案件中裁决，我国是一个世俗国而非回教国。

他强调，回教党不能违抗宪法，也不能违抗当时我国最高级法庭，即最高法院所作出的裁决。

“回教党可以去询问沙烈阿巴斯，或许他可以给回教党上一堂课。”

他也表示，在308政治海啸后，人民殷切期盼两线制成型，回教党应该避免“击沉自己的船”。

认为胡桑慕沙已撤立场

回教党副主席胡桑慕沙是在星期日于吉兰丹州的一项政治论坛上，受到巫青团副团长凯里的逼问时表示，若民联执政中央，回教党将推动实行回教刑事法。

不过，由于引起一片哗然，胡桑在相隔一日后即澄清，若无法获得民联其他两个盟党，即行动党及公正党的支持，回教党就必须搁置落实回教刑事法的意愿。

对此，卡巴星把之诠释为，胡桑慕沙已撤回相关立场，并希望回教党不会再重提此事。

询及是否圈套一时语塞

由于胡桑当时是在巫青团副团长凯里的挑战下，才发表推行回教刑事法的言论，于是记者就询问卡巴星，是否同意这是一个巫统所设下的圈套。

一向口才便给的卡巴星，却罕见语塞数秒后才表示，“嗯，这很难说，但不管怎样，就算有人设下陷阱，胡桑也必须小心在意，勿掉入陷阱中。”

因发表民联执政中央必实施回教刑事法的言论，而掀起政坛一阵哗然的回教党副主席兼吉兰丹州行政议员胡桑慕沙今日澄清说，若无法获得民联其他两个盟党，即行动党及公正党的支持，回教党就必须搁置落实回教刑事法的意愿。

民联签署协议不单边行动

胡桑慕沙指出，这是因为民联三党已经在今年8月签署协议，同意任何政策的改变，都必须预先获得民联成员党的一致同意。

他也保证，回教党不会采取单边行动。所有的政策必须获得各方的同意。

遭凯里质问发表惊人言论

胡桑慕沙是在一项吉兰丹州哥打峇鲁举行的“大马政治的转变”政治论坛上，与巫青团副团长凯里同台时，遭到凯里指责回教党领袖自从在308大选之后，即摒弃及漠视回教刑事法，并质问若民联成功在916夺取中央政权后是否会落实回教刑事法。

结果当时他就回应说，一旦民联执政中央政府，回教党必定会实施回教刑事法。

也是吉兰丹州行政议员的胡桑慕沙强调，实施回教刑事法，不仅是回教党的责任，而是所有回教徒的责任，包括巫统的领导层都责无旁贷。

不过论坛另一名主讲人，即国际回教大学法律系教授阿都阿兹博士则表示，州政府无权落实刑事法，因为那是处于中央政府的权限之下。

凯里当晚支持隔日却改口

根据《星报》星期日的报道，论坛主持人国大政治系讲师莫哈末阿谷斯随后也“火上加油”，反问凯里若他在明年3月的巫统党选中，成功出任巫青团长之后，是否会支持推行刑事法？

结果凯里笑着回答说，他将会支持落实回教刑事法。凯里的回答，顿时引起回教党支持者高喊口号。唯凯里在隔日的《星报》报道(即今日)，马上改口否认他曾经说过这番话，并说一切将维持现状。

在胡桑慕沙的言论出街之后，民主行动党国会领袖林吉祥马上发表声明，除了强调推行回教刑事法并不是民联政策之外，并敦促胡桑澄清其言论，否则将令华裔选民感到不安。

也是怡保东区国会议员的林吉祥表示，若未加以澄清，胡桑的言论不仅将让在1月17日瓜拉登嘉楼的11%华裔选民感到不安，同时将引起其他登嘉楼州及全国马来人及非马来人更大的不安与反感。

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 25 — While his allies argue over hudud laws and fret over the wobbling economy in their five states, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has taken over as liaison chairman for both Sabah and Sarawak in Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) efforts widen its base and capture the Borneo states.

The opposition leader, who made a triumphant parliamentary comeback in August, is initially eyeing Sarawak in the next state elections due by 2011 as chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud faces increased opposition to his 27 years in power.

Sabah is a different proposition as the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition is dominant with 57 of the 60 seats in the state assembly.

But consumed with garnering more support from both states, Anwar has been conspicuously silent about the controversy over implementing Islamic criminal Hudud laws that flared up again this week between Pas and DAP, and Pakatan Rakyat state governments’ efforts to mitigate the fallout from a growing global recession.

“Some things are out of his hand. Anwar will quietly handle Pas and DAP behind the scenes but the economy will take some work,” a Pakatan Rakyat source told The Malaysian Insider, adding the electoral pact had made suggestions in the budget debate.

The PKR supreme council met late Monday night but party president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is Anwar’s wife, only announcement was that Anwar has taken over as liaison chairman for Sabah and Sarawak, citing the appointment as proof of the party's focus to struggle for the people from Perlis to Sarawak.

“The agenda to bring change in Sabah and Sarawak needs the support from all levels of society. Sarawak will have its state elections soon and Datuk Seri Anwar’s appointment as state liaison chairman for both states justify our concern for problems there and is significant in Pakatan Rakyat’s power transition to Putrajaya,” she said in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The Pakatan Rakyat electoral pact, which groups PKR, Pas and DAP, has 81 out of the 222 seats in the federal parliament. BN has 137 seats while the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), which pulled out of BN in September, has two seats and one to Independent Datuk Ibrahim Ali. The Kuala Terengganu seat is vacant with the by-election on Jan 17.

PKR’s focus for the Borneo states has been apparent when Anwar predicted he could form capture Putrajaya by Malaysia Day with help from 30 federal lawmakers after Pakatan Rakyat made a historic upset in the March 8 General Elections where BN lost its customary two-thirds parliamentary majority and four more states to the opposition.

Since then, only SAPP has pulled out of the 14-member BN coalition but has chosen to remain independent in Parliament although its president Datuk Yong Teck Lee is close to the sacked deputy prime minister, who has yet to fulfil his prediction to unseat BN from power.

Anwar, in a posting at his weblog today, called the changes routine and said the state leadership in the party are merely coordinators in an effort to dispel notions of consolidating power for himself as “experienced leaders will be act as advisors at the national level while the new leadership will get exposure apart from introducing new approaches to attract new members”.

“Personally, I am not inclined to coordinate activities in Sabah and Sarawak. In fact, even Wilayah Persekutuan asked me to help but I feel that Tan Sri Khalid as Selangor Menteri Besar, is better there,” Anwar said, adding the appointments will be reviewed regularly.

He also said his offer to help both PKR state liaison committees has been announced before and he hoped to get support from all quarters in both states.

Apart from Anwar heading both Sabah and Sarawak, and Khalid leading Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan, the other state leaders are Datuk Fauzi Abdul Rahman (Pahang), Datuk Zahrain Mohamed Hashim (Penang), Datuk Kamarul Baharin Abbas (Negri Sembilan), Ahmad Kassim (Kedah), Abdul Aziz Abdul Kadir (Kelantan), Johari Shafie (Perlis), Khalid Jaafar (Malacca), Dr Zaliha Mustaffa (Johor), Osman Abdul Rahman (Perak) and Wan Rahim Wan Hamzah (Terengganu).

辩护公正党回教课题立场鲜明
林秀凌：各造无须再大做文章

针对回教党副主席胡桑慕沙日前发表落实回教刑事法的言论，公正党澄清该党宣传主任蔡添强已履行他身为党全国宣传主任职责，就事论事代表公正党阐明该党在此课题上的立场。

人民公正党中央宣传局媒体协调主任林秀凌指出，蔡添强并非对“行动党主席卡巴星的言论“不敬”，身为民联主要领导之一，卡巴星和其他领导有同等的责任澄清公众对民联的疑惑。

她澄清，蔡添强指“没有必要凡事都要安华亲自回应”，意指任何一个民联成员党的领导，可在已经达致共识的政策和议题上发言，而蔡氏身为公正党全国宣传主任，必然有责任代表党和民联阐明立场。

她说，人民公正党对回教国、回教刑事法、新经济政策等课题，已多次发表鲜明立场。民联也已联邦民主宪法为我们斗争的共识，此事无须多次重提。

与国阵一言堂模式不同

林秀凌今天也发表文告抨击马华全国妇女组主席周美芬不敢批判巫统的霸权，更不敢抗议巫统漠视国阵成员党的意愿，强行种族主义的政策，反而在此事件上大做文章，这也显示出周氏对民联的执政纲领，以及与国阵截然不同的运作一窍不通。

“民联由人民公正党、民主行动党和回教党联合组成，各党领导平起平坐，在任何课题和政策上有分歧，大可直接和党领袖反映立场和交流；民联秉持民主开放的政治文化，任何课题都可以自由讨论，各党都可以商讨不同的党议程。”

她继称，民联三党领导必须在民联会议上达成共识后，才可对外宣布立场或看法，任何成员党要做出任何改变之前，也必须获得民联认同，再由民联领袖安华作出公布。

“这与巫统主导的国阵截然不同。周美芬也许认同巫统的霸权及一言堂文化，我们实在无法苟同。”

民联纲领没纳入刑事法

林秀凌也是公正党全国青年团中委，她认为，无论如何回教党领袖发表有关回教刑事法的言论，不是什么新鲜课题，不过民联的政治纲领并没有将之纳入其中。

“民联成立于今年4月1日，是以7项大原则作为执政纲领，即维护联邦宪法精神、确保宗教与文化自由、透明化行政机制、建立公正司法制度、推行全民经济议程、保障媒体和资讯自由、塑造民主社会。”
